I dunno. I doubt they do change it due to bad PR. The fact that they came out and apologized that they missed the overstacked side on the FG attempt that allowed 1 team into the playoffs and left 1 out was bad. Then to add this, would make it worse.

Also, does anyone truly care. Do Saints fans talk shite to other fans cause Brees has the record? I mean, unless you ARE Drew Brees or Peyton Manning - who cares?

Technically the refs blew the FG call, but the stat crew is not an NFL crew... its a team crew... right?

So if this is true, this isnt really mud on the face of the NFL.

They change stats every week , they can't change the outcome of a game because they don't know if he would have missed the field goal any way.

If Manning is who he's made out to be, he'll step up and admit he didnt break it.

But, as history shows, when it's time for the Mannings to step up, they shrink.

SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR...riiiiight.

The pass was clearly a backward pass/Lateral and it does not affect the outcome of the game such as a scoring attempt

Sportscenter covered this this morning and showed the graphic that it is very clear Peyton threw the ball behind the line. They said the NFL is considering revising the yardage total, which would leave Brees with the record.

agreed. If the league has any consistency in the way they do this sort of thing, its a no brainer.

The fact that it takes away a record for Manning should be irrelevent to them. Was it a forward pass or not? thats all that should matter.

Just saw that, and their graphic was pretty clear it was a backwards pass. Getting this much pub, it will be changed soon IMO.

Since 'Bounty gate' we Saints fans have had much more vigilance towards the 'facts' the NFL puts out.

I'm glad Brees will likely keep it, but it feels kind of hollow. I'd rather him lose it than keep it with Manning sitting a half. Kind of like I'd rather am opponent try to score than taking a mercy knee.

I'm talking about when the integrity of the Draft has to suffer because they don't like the team that drafted Eli or when Peyton has the opportunity to be gracious in defeat.

That was Archie acting like a bitch. You can tell Eli doesn't give a shite about anything to care where he got drafted.

You mean running the plays the coach tells him to?

That's why I posted "Mannings" with an S.

Secondly, I'm referring to Peyton's lack of sportsmanship after he lost the Superbowl.
