You know, you might be right.

Seriously it seems they come here and usually get worse. And Vitt is a hell of an Asst. Head Coach but his unit has consistently been the weak link of the defense. And that's even with Jenkins and Harper at safety.

And I'd definitely rather Mosley over Shazier but he'll likely be gone. There are also quite a few guys at other spots I'd rather, but you never know how the draft is going to play out.

Shazier would be one of the last first round picks I'd want, but I wouldn't hate him.

I've actually been pondering, if worse comes to worse, if Morgan Moses could play guard as well as tackle.

LINK

"Moses is the definition of a "dancing bear" with his mammoth size and nimble feet. He likes to use his limbs to get his hands on defenders and take them wherever he wants, but needs to continue and refine his technique. If he continues to develop while staying in shape, Moses will be an attractive blocker for the next level."

I haven't seen anywhere that they are interested in him so that's why I think its a lost cause.

Which could very well mean they have their eye on him. It's so damn hard to really tell what teams have up their sleeves. You don't know what is legit or what is total bullshite.

Moses made Attacho and Kyle Van Noy look like high schoolers.

Yea, probably could have toned it down, but people have just been obsessed with this guy lately and he screams bust to me.

It's all good man. I just think it's this extra time before the draft this year. It's leading to more draft talk then usual. I agree with you about both Shazier & Roby though.

That would be great if they did pick him!!!!!!!!

its just usually when I have a favorite player in the draft we don't pick him. I really liked Randall Cobb a few years ago and wanted him but Lance Moore resigned I think? So I 86'sed that idea pretty quickly.

other than Mosley, I really like Van Noy and the other fella from Georgia Tech as my favorite LB's in this draft.

Shazier does play fast so I suppose he'll have his moments but ehhh... I'd want those other LB's just listed a lot more than him.

Moses has incredible potential. I'm surprised he hasn't started shooting up draft boards.

He's not the kind of OT you take and move to OG. He's not the mauler you want at OG, but his length and hands at elite for an OT.

I think someone is gonna get a really good OT with him.

Isn't that how it usually goes especially for those of us that have been around for awhile?

So do I. I just can picture him doing big things in a Rob Ryan defense. Van Noy's versatility would be an asset.

I like what Demarcus Lawrence brings on the field. He was solid rushing the passer & against the run for Boise St. What I don't like though is him being suspended 3 times, all one game suspensions. He's a good player on the field but he may not give too many fricks off of it.

It only matters where the individual organizations have him ranked. These mocks are meaningless. If a team has him rated highly at a position of need, then he won't make it out of the first round.

I can't remember what site it was but there was a write up on Van Noy that was pretty in depth.

I think the guy's name was Matt Waldman who wrote it?

I want to say he did another one on CJ Mosley too. But I just can't remember where it was.

I've read about everything I've wanted to read before the draft this year.

It needs to hurry up and get here.

I feel ya. I'm pooped out on highlight clips, player evaluations, mocks & opinions. Whoever thought moving the draft back was a good idea, is an idiot.

I think they moved it back because they want to try and have things more spread out and make their calendar have something relevant in each month?

frick, I don't know.

I'm actually going to be in New Orleans during the draft. My step sister is graduating from Loyola on that Saturday. I'll still drop by here and check out the reactions from the picks when I can..

can't wait.

You guys are being long winded and using the lol emoticon at least once in each post. In other words, you're ruining my thread.

I agree with Nostradamus when it comes to Shazier. I dont hate him, like it seems he does

But, hes 1 of those guys that has ridiculous #s at Pro Day and he gets a buzz going about him.

I just dont think hes a great fit for a 3-4 OLB, especially for what we need. I dont think he has good footwork at all, struggles getting off blocks and tends to go around blocks too much. Always looks flat footed to me. And, even though he has great stats, he has some flaws when it comes to tackling. And he missed a good bit too.

If its between Shazier and Mosley Ill take CJ every day of the week.

It's a good thing we don't run a 3-4 then.

He'd be great for the nickel and dime packages we run 75% of the time.

And yes, I think everyone would prefer Mosley of Shazier no questions asked. But one is much more likely to be at 27 than the other.
