I heard the ref that made the call has a daughter that is a cheerleader for the 49ers. How can they let this obvious bias continue? Saints fans need to get a spy or double agent to infiltrate NFL headquarters to expose the blatant corruption among NFL refs.

How do you "conspiracy" guys even believe this garbage? I can understand not liking the call or having issues with the call, but this kind of crap makes all fans look like idiots.

I was generalizing for conspiracy fans, not Saints fans... I probably should have made that more clear that's my bad.

On Hail Mary's - In 2012, in fact, an NFL replacement referee said publicly the league trained him not to call offensive pass interference in such instances because "there are a lot of bodies in there, you just let it go."

Sad thing is, he was in great position to make the catch without the little push.

This thread makes so many people look like homer morons, it's insane. First of all, it doesn't matter how hard the shove was. The whole point of the penalty is extending your arms to create space.
On the live view, the same view the sideline ref has, it looked like a full on two hand shove from Graham. How the hell can people not be reasonable about that? On the endzone view replay, it doesn't look as bad, but you still see Graham extending both arms to create space. On the replay from behind, you clearly see Graham's hand on the guy's back, and pushing him away.
It's crazy seeing a video where you clearly see Graham full extension with both arms, then people saying they don't see it.
The other thing is the whole "you can't call that on that play in that situation" argument. I've always hated that line of thought. It's a cop out. Someone even said Boldin apparently pushed off worse on his call early in the game. God you people are delusional. Props to Chad and Vor for attempting to set delusional fans straight.

You calling someone else delusional is very cute

You just respond with the same sh!t every time. How exactly am I delusional? Oh right, because of what I said about Keenan Lewis, which I explained and admitted I was wrong.

Thread's still going, eh?
Stopped on my way home for a beer tonight and talked with 4 or 5 buddies who are all Saints fans. Every one of them said the following:
1. It was a legitimate penalty (although a judgment call).
2. You just can't put two hands on the defender and extend . . . which is what Jimmy did.
3. No doubt the guy "flopped" to "sell" the call. So what? It's smart.
4. On a "hail Mary" type of pass, if it had been a little more crowded, etc, it may not have been called. Alas, it was wide open and obvious.
5. Jimmy probably could have made the catch without the push off.
6. Two officials on opposite sides of the play called it.
7. If it had not been called, there would be much more of an uproar than you're reading/hearing today (of course, that's probably because the NFL hates the Saints, the media is biased against N.O., and there's a conspiracy right? )

Yea we're delusional because we disagree with you. Graham had retracted his arm before the defender ever moved away from him. Proving that the force exerted on the defender was minute and not enough to even change his direction. The player forced his body away from Graham instead of trying to make a play on the ball. Had the defender actually tried to make a play on the ball then you have a small argument that it's offensive PI. But he didn't, so it isn't.

I'm not sure why this topic and thread interests me so much. I guess because the tenacious rationalization by the homers is as much off the hook as I've ever seen. Guys, it was a decent call by two officials. You're acting like it wasn't even close.

Imagine the uproar if, against the Saints, Roddy White did exactly what JG did and it wasn't called. Game over, Falcons win.

Nah, you just want to be that guy on a forum that claims he's not a homer just so he can call other ppl homers. It's pretty stupid imo. Congrats, you're that guy. Even though when the play happened I guarantee you was sitting there in front of the tv questioning that call. You come here to make yourself feel better about it lol.
