re: Man...Loomis is the luckiest SOB in Pro-Sports - landrywasbeast30
I was never under the impression that Loomis was the guy drafting players, so my opinion of him isn't as bad as some others. He is a money guy. People have been predicting the Saints cap collapse for years, and it still hasn't happened, and doesn't seem like it will with the cap going up I think. ...

re: I'm not even mad - landrywasbeast30
Feels like this is just what they are now. Start out slow. Make a little run to make people think they have a shot. Brees puts up crazy stats. Then Brees craps the bed every time they are in a spot to get back in the race. Another thing I noticed recently is lack of urgency at the end of these ...

re: Orgeron's record at Ole Miss is irrelevant - landrywasbeast30
And again... It's been noted and he has fully acknowledged that he did a poor job there. IN HIS FIRST HEAD JOB EVER!!! 10+ fricking years ago you stubborn dopes.
I'm sorry, but don't coaches with great potential usually show it pretty early in their careers?
It's mind blowing.  You have lsu posters touting how we looked on offense this year once miles was fired and in the same post talk about O getting a real OC. I wish someone would tell me how the frick a dline coach is getting credit for out offense.
Just to flip this even more, peo...

A coach no one wants won't use LSU as a stepping stone? That's something I guess....

re: Herman chose the easy road - landrywasbeast30
If Herman verbally agreed to a deal then backed out, then he doesnt deserve to be at the great LSU. Period.
I'm starting to see this pop up. Herman didn't back out of anything. By all accounts he wanted to be the coach of LSU. But, this idea that he really wanted the Texas job s...

re: I have to say this about Herman... - landrywasbeast30
What reason exactly do some of you idiots think Herman was being hired? His qb, who started out as a wr, threw for nearly 500 yards and 4 td's. That's why he was perfect for LSU. His defense giving up all those points is irrelevant to his potential as coach of LSU....

re: Herman chose the easy road - landrywasbeast30
Um, both jobs were open now, and by all accounts Herman wanted LSU. Whatever the reasons were, be it money or Herman wanting to talk with Texas, it seems LSU backed out, not Herman....

The program itself is still elite and gets top talent. It's the people making decisions that aren't elite....

re: Herman chose the easy road - landrywasbeast30
One, as others have said, Herman didn't choose Texas. Two, I don't even get the fit at Texas. They have a terrible defense. LSU was perfect for him....

re: All aboard the Coach O Pain Train - landrywasbeast30
Who knew the magic formula for winning all along was a cajun with heart? I mean we should have known based on his undefeated coaching record, and the success of all the other big hearted Cajuns in professional sports coaching. Can't believe some people truly believe this is a good way to make deci...

re: In defense of alleva. In an article a few minutes ago - landrywasbeast30
This happens all the time. Just cause you know where you want to go doesn't mean you stop hearing out every option. We don't know if he broke his verbal agreement because he wasn't given the chance. So instead of making Herman look like he lied, Alleva comes out looking bad....

re: In defense of alleva. In an article a few minutes ago - landrywasbeast30
Well we don't know if he would have stuck to his guns now do we? The report we are discussing says Herman was pumped about the LSU job, wanted to coach in the SEC, and was going to take the job this morning. He didn't break any agreement by wanting to let Texas say what they had to say before offi...

re: In defense of alleva. In an article a few minutes ago - landrywasbeast30
What games? It's perfectly reasonable for Herman to want to hear what Texas had to say before signing his name officially to coach LSU. Worst case scenario, you wait a few hours and end up exactly were they did anyway. Every move Alleva makes puts a little more stink on this program....

re: The fact that the people on TD don't like this makes me think it's a great hire - landrywasbeast30
You people keep comparing this to the election and say that the Anti-O crowd are like hillary supporters. That makes no sense when it's the O camp saying that O is the man because he's "one of us" and "it's his time." People just wanted a good coach and did not want LSU to make an emotional h...
