Nice observation, and im glad you've stopped making heights up and actually acknowledged he is taller.

No it's not. If they were 5'10' it'd say 5100.

They're 5'9" and some change, why are you giving them extra size? They don't get to play with the extra size you're giving them on the field, they play as the actual size they are.

Calling Cooks 5'10 is more accurate than calling him 5'9

Hey buddy, if that is what you want to classify him as, that is fine with me. It doesn't make him any bigger than what he is in real life. He's still a small receiver.

Those are the measurements that the NFL lists him at.

And if he were 5'9, it would say 5'9. He doesn't lose that height on the field either....

For official purposes, NFL labels him as 5'10.

2014 season, 7 of the top 13 wr's were 5'11 or under. Ty hilton 5'9, a number of 5'10 guys.

if Hitlon is 5'9", so is Cooks. 5'9 1/2" vs 5'9 3/4"

Im not hating on small WR's. But even so, a 5'11" guy is still a big difference from a 5'9" guy.

you struggle with rounding.

splitting hairs with tenths of inches, it's still fair to say anyone 5'11 or smaller is smallish as an NFL WR.

Ok, but how many of those guys had WR2s on the team that were also under 5'11"?

Nobody is saying small receivers can't be successful. It's just not advantageous to have a whole WR corp made up of them IMO.

It's laughable to imply we would have a whole receiving corp made up of small guys when it's been pointed out we currently have twice as many big guys as we do small guys.

Also Seattle did win it all with three small guys.

And their offense is predicated by the passing game. They are routinely at the bottom of the league in pass attempts

Actually with proper rounding Hilton is 5'9" and Cooks/Dorsett/Brown are all 5'10". Cooks and Dorsett are almost clones size wise. Practically speaking Cooks, Dorsett, Hilton and Brown are all the same size. All within about 0.5" and 5 lbs of each other.

Hilton - 5'9"4 183 lbs
Cooks - 5'9"6 189 lbs
Dorsett - 5'9"6 185 lbs
A. Brown - 5'10"1 186 lbs

Also close to John Brown (5'10"0 179 lbs), but he is a a bit slighter build.

as it stands we have 2 WRs we can rely on: Colston and Cooks. Colston is not very reliable anymore on top of that. You keep focusing on all the UDFA's backing these two up along with 2 TE's, one of which was also undrafted and the other old and primarily a blocker now. If we were to draft a 5'9 8/17" WR, then our top 3 WRs will be a 6'4 8/21" average WR, a 5'9 5/7" expected to be great WR and a 5' 9 8/17" rookie that could be very good.

This is not the makings of a balanced WR core. We could bring in 50 UDFA's this year all over 6'5", and that won't mean diddly poo when it comes to who we start and rely on come game day. So forget about your unknown backups and focus on the known starters that we can rely on. At the moment, that's at 1 and a half. The half is a good size target that is halfway out the door.

and in 2013, there were 5. Pretty fluid, but usually dominated by bigger guys.

Josh Gordon, Brandon Marshall, Vincent Jackson, Eric Decker, Andre Johnson to name a few.

the body type of a 5'9" guy, even compared to a guy just at 6'0, are completely different. shite, even a guy like Odell Beckham, who has ridiculously long arms and huge hands. Each player has to be examined individually.

I am not saying that we should not draft a tall receiver. I'm saying that all the people who were saying we should not draft Dorsett because he's not 6'4" is just plain stupid. He is a very talented speedy receiver that would work awesome in our offense. when we won the Superbowl we had a long ball receiver in Devery and wehad a slot receiver in Lance if Cooks plays one of those rolls and Dorset plays the other it would be perfect.

How many Superbowls did we win when we had Jimmy? I'll wait....
