I think a Pels/Suns Bledsoe trade would look something like

Moore/QPon/Ajinca/Asik/cash/2018 first/2019 pick swap option

For

Bledsoe/Chandler

They would basically buy out Ajinca and QPon, probably stretch Asik... and after the cash Pels throw in, save an extra year and 15 mil or so versus Chandler.

Then, they get Moore for a vet presence and shooter, the pick, and an option to swap if Boogie walks and AD demands out, leaving the Pels in shambles. That would be how they would sell it and it would look like a win. And a grand slam if Pels do crumble, a la Brooklyn unexpectedly

Bledsoe/Frazier
Holiday/Crawford
Hill/MLE(PJ Tucker or Holiday)
AD/Cunningham/Diallo
Cousins/Chandler

Thats a deep, versatile and solid team on both ends and my back of the napkin math and salary projections say it'd only be flirting with the tax. If that's an issue you could probably not bring Cunningham back to stay under the tax and be able to fill in his minutes with Diallo and more Hill at small ball 4.

It's good on paper, but a well below average perimeter shooting team in this era. I would hope you can use the MLE on a good shooter. But it's beggars being choosers at that point

That's a team that has to hang it's hat on defense and needs to milk getting to the line. Bledsoe is pretty good at getting to the line so between him and AD/DC they could be in the penalty early every quarter. Is it possible to Grit N Grind and have a top 8 pace?

It should be able to get to the line 25-30 times a game, honestly. Defense should be top 5 too. But the shooting is a weakness for sure

Seems like too much for Bledsoe.

the guy that needs to be dumped is Brandon Knight. that deal has been a disaster for them.

They can't even give him away. He's probably more difficult to move than Asik.

I'd like to keep Moore if it all possible. He's a very underrated defender. Ideally, i'd like to get Rubio without giving up Moore, resign Jrue, and look for a SF with the MLE. Ingles would be ideal, but it sounds like he isn't leaving Utah. Casspi would be another good one, but i'm sure we pissed him off. Guy like CJ Miles would be nice, but not sure the $8M MLE is enough for him. Gerald Green would be very attainable, although not really interested in him. If PJ Tucker is attainable, that's who i'd want.
I'd like Justin Holiday with the BAE, and i'd like to take a flyer with James Young from Boston, who can probably be had for cheap, and is a Kentucky guy.

Slightly on topic, what happened to Brandon Knight? He was showing promise and an uptick at one point and completely dropped off the cliff. Is he so undesirable at this point that an Asik and Knight could get it done simply by saving the Suns a buttload of money?

He's borderline retarded from most accounts. Has no bball iq and has had one of the worst real +/- for the last 4 years of every PG. Just going off real +/-, he's ranked about the 45th best PG in the league. he finished this year 89th out of 91.

Man I'm still on board with bringing Rondo here and letting him work with Davis/Cousins. The addition of Sam Mitchell could help cool Rondo down if need be. The way Rondo was getting the bulls involved during the playoffs before he got hurt was a thing of beauty.

He showed good NUMBERS--- don't confuse that with being a good player

I have been told by multiple people in the know that he is super low IQ. I mean, imagine Tyreke but without the physically dominate body

No thanks

YOU think it's too much for Bledsoe. PHX fans would probably think they are being ripped off

That's how you know it's fair

Thanks. I admittedly don't pay attention to him. The tools are there's. Shame.

Would you dump Hill for him + 2nd out of curiosity? Net an asset towards trade. Take flyer that maybe he can be serviceable in the 2nd unit, which is majorly lacking.

ETA: any chance we can package Hill+1st+2nd+Diallo for vet instead of Moore, giving us the option to move Moore down the line or even keep him?

Don't matter what I would do--- this regime won't trade Hill. I even see some people on here thinking a MLE guy will come in and start over him

Won't happen-- Hill will be starting next year. Book it

Inability to admit mistake/recognize sunk cost, or do they believe in his ability to improve, and provide the "3 and D" role?

Its crazy. Dude has been an a-hole his entire career, has been garbage for several years, and was good for like 2 games in the playoffs and people want that a-hole

I didn't want him "at his peak" let alone now.

Can we at least agree pride and inability to admit mistakes has closed the window on any chance this team ever had of contending with another prime top 5 player?

ETA: among many other things from Benson to Loomis to trainers on down

If hill is penciled in with Davis and Cousins, that means the main offseason goal is retaining Jrue followed by finding an adequate point guard yes? Unless of course another Cousins-esque trade falls into our laps.

Lastly, and I hope this answer is a no, would they POSSIBLY entertain moving Cousins (let's not count some absurd offer that would never happen like #1, Smart, etc.)
