Why don't you answer me this . . . why are you so obsessed with this board? You've never had the balls to flat out answer the question (and if you spout that silliness about trying to bring reality to the board or whatever, I'll hunt you down like a dog). Okay, I'm listening.

Harden shoots more FTs in the playoffs than regular season, good try though. Post something else that you've heard other people say even though the facts don't support it.

Just talking hoops, if I see a good hoops thread on here or MSB sometimes I'll add my input, sometimes I won't. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed though, just like discussing da hoops.

Nobody is talking about dallas. Okc is not gonna choke. Go look at dallas and their schedule and tell me they don't have a 25-30% chance of falling. They have a very rough schedule. Lakers up tonight at home too against them.

Because I've had half a fifth of Maker's (so one tenth?).

Well, Westbrook apparently has sold his soul to the devil, give the way he's been playing. Unless something changes with him, it's hard for me to see how OKC slides.

Still, as that wise man Monty Williams has pointed out, there's a lot of basketball left to play.

6 games is a ton to make up over 19 games. Dallas really has to go to shite. Not out of the question, but more unlikely than going +1 vs OKC over the rest of the season.

how many teams do you guys think are actually deep inside trying to lose to the pelicans so OKC sits at home.

None? Multiple? 1?

I understand its 6 games but look at their schedule. They also play okc twice so that goes either way.

don't look now... but the Mavs are tied at half in LA... and the Clippers already played today

yeah... those OKC/DAL games help us no matter the outcome

ETA: but honestly... the best outcome of those OKC/DAL games is 1 team wins both and not a split

And the Mavs own the tie-breaker... so it's really like 7 games.

If the Mavs fell off and went 9-9 over their last 18, the Pelicans would have to go 16-3.

Mavs: 8-10, Pels: 15-4
Mavs: 7-11, Pels: 14-5
Mavs: 6-12, Pels: 13-6
Mavs: 5-13, Pels: 12-7
Mavs: 4-14, Pels: 11-8
Mavs: 3-15, Pels: 10-9
Mavs: 2-16, Pels: 9-10
Mavs: 1-17, Pels: 8-11
Mavs: 0-18, Pels: 7-12

If the Pelicans went on an unbelievable run to close the season 15-4, they'd still need the Mavs to play under .500 to jump them.

Very unlikely.

And if they went 15-4, they'd most likely jump the Thunder anyway, making passing up the Mavs a moot point in terms of getting into the playoffs.

Simmons actually said in a radio interview in Memphis last week that he wouldn't be surprised to see them miss the playoffs
