The crazy thing is that Dallas would be the #2 seed in the East...obviously the schedule would be different but based on wins and loses its pretty crazy how lop-sided these conferences are

the amazing part is that... you'd think at some point it would even out

Yeah, their schedule would be much easier.
REALLY hoping Silver moves NOLA to SE, Washington for Milwaukee in the central, then Milwaukee into wherever in the West.

Something needs to happen. I much prefer simply letting the top 16 into the playoffs, but Pels or Grizz into the East and Charlotte into the West would be a less drastic, reasonable option.

Why do you want the easy route? Wouldn't it be much more rewarding as fan to know that you made the top 8 in a tough as all get out Western Conference?
Just making the playoffs in the West with the current setup would be much more fun for me as a fan than finishing 14th of 16 and losing to the 3 seed in a different format.

NBA's 3rd seed would be Memphis. The Pelicans are 2-1 against Memphis.
