That is awesome news, dude isn't a lights our shooter, but he's maintained a 3p% that demands a little attention. mid 30% to 40% in his good years; with substantial attempts.

Setting the over/under at 10 games played before he's out for the season.

OMG OMG I know it's ridiculous to be this excited about a guy that just got waived but I'm so freaking pumped.
Phew ok I'm good now
One year deal, does that mean no more grits?

Yea, unless they made another move to get off another guaranteed contract.

So, who got moved to make room for Nelson?
Posted on 10/21/17 at 2:21 pm to NorthshoreTiger76
Dell playing 4d intergalactic chess while the rest of the league playing checkers. 80-2!

literally any competent PG would be an upgrade
there's no way he doesn't help out immediately

according to Bobby marks they can wait until after the Portland game to make a cut

Wasn't Nelson the starter for Denver last year?

Do we really want to be 0-4 before signing him?

He started about half the year. Played 27 mpg, 9 pts, 5 ast, 44% fg, 39% 3pt

he is signed
they just don't have to make a cut till after 10/24 due to hardship exception

New Orleans can wait until after their October 24 game at Portland to sign Jameer Nelson and not waive a player. The Pelicans will be eligible to apply for the hardship roster exception and add a 16th player.

He's a solid vet back-up which this team desperately needs. Be interesting how they split the minutes when Rondo gets back. I'm sure Holiday will still be the primary PG until then. Will he be with the team tomorrow?

my thought is Jrue continues to start at PG until Rondo returns
once Rondo comes back... Jrue will move to SG
Nelson will run the 2nd unit... which means no more Crawford running the point... and automatic win
