I was really leaning on his agent putting all these big market teams out there. Seems like something an agent would push for more than a player. What good players outside of Carmelo chose to play for big market teams just for the sake of it?
ETA: I read something that said that Dragic wanted to run point for a team, which I could see as a reason to leave and would also fit with the Lakers, Heat, and Knicks.
ETA2: there are really only 10 or so teams that need a point guard, not that he wouldn't be an upgrade to more than 10 teams, but I'm not sure how much a team with a legit point guard would give up for him.

Money is typically the most important thing. I don't know what the market is for him outside of those 3 teams. Indy is supposedly in the running too, but they are known to be a bit on the cheap, would they give him a max deal and have 3 max players?
If Dragic can get max in the big markets ($17 million) but say only $13 in a good situation, over 4 years you're asking him to walk away from $17 million, probably over $20 if you throw in big market endorsement deals.

Per CBS sports, Pelicans are in the market for a backup PG

Posted by LosLobos on the previous page, not trying to Germans you, but in the context of the quote that also referred to the Wizards looking for a backup guard, I took it to say we are looking more to the buyout/foreign FA market than the trade market.
quote:
The Wizards are looking for a play-making guard to join Andre Miller on the second unit, league sources say. But Washington is more likely to scour the buyout and overseas markets to fill that role rather than give up an asset to get one in a trade. The Pelicans, similarly, are in the market for a backup point guard.

Ahh okay so nothing new. Thanks

Do we know if Jrue is coming back soon or is it just the fact that Jimmer and co aren't living up to expectations

No new news on Jrue that I've seen, but even if he comes back I'm not sure how much I trust him to last the season, or maybe you want to minutes restrict him. It could also just be due diligence. 4th guard is the position most in need of upgrading outside of starting SF, which we don't have the assets to address right now.

Because, like I've said, the Holiday injury is not "minor". This is a chronic injury. Looks like management is starting to concede that.
Probably will cause him problems for the rest of his career. For a guard that realies on quickness like Jrue, it's not good.

How could you possibly know that?

He did court work recently and looked really good.
I've also heard rumblings from the twitter-pels about a possible weekend return.

Anymore "insider" news you'd like to share?
I mean I explained to you that he caught it this time BEFORE it was a fracture.
Wasn't the case last year

I wonder if Hibbert is still on the market. Maybe the Pacers offer Hibbert, Stuckey and a future 1st for Dragic and Alex Len. That way they still only have 2 max players..

Will be curious to see what Pelicans do now that Jrue Holiday has re-aggravated leg injury -- a lot of post-season pressure in NOLA
