Interested to see how he does in that roll. Monty has some "his shite doesn't stink" in him. Hope he succeeds.

Good luck to him. Good dude, wish him the best. I imagine he will thrive in that roll and really add some value to their coaching staff.

I believe it's the same role that he held in Portland before being hired by the Hornets. I'm guessing he mainly focus on player development, but I'm not sure. I don't see him as an offensive or defensive wizard.

This is how he is best suited (not his mens warehouse look), as an assistant. I think he'll do really well in this role.

Monty will get another head coaching gig eventually. Some team will look at his work with an injured Pelicans team that made the playoffs and think he can improve a team, maybe as another bridge coach for a young team.
