Totally hypothetical, however it is a real possibility.

Let's say we trade our 6-7 overall pick as we are slated to get to aquire the 12th-15th pick as well as that teams first round pick in 2017, which is going to be a very strong draft.

Based off mock draft projections and players that would be available in that 12-15 range who would you take then?

I have a strong feeling Tyler Ulis out of Kentucky is gonna be a star. I watched a good bit of his games this year and that dude is a true point guard. By far the most complete point guard in the draft as it relates to running an offense and setting up his teammates. He's also aggressive going to the rim and scoring, very similar to Isaiah Thomas, but a little bigger.

I also know Timothe Luwawu has been a favorite on this board and I like his potential as well.

With that being said my top 3 choices that would be available with the 12-15 pick would be
1. Tyler Ulis- major compliment to AD if we can unload Evans by next offseason, true floor general with a gritty and savy Isaiah Thomas like mentality.

2. Timothe Luwawu- most definitely a project, but has the Greek Freak potential as Giannis was also considered a huge risk/project.

3. Denzel Valentine- proven college player with veteran leadership intangibles and an all around game that is hard to find. He may never be an all star but you'll hear his name as a candidate for a 6th man of the year award down the road.

I like Demetrius Jackson more than Ulis. I also like Luwawu and Valentine. Really liking Dejounte Murray and Deyonta Davis too

Part of me thinks this will be one of those drafts where guys outside the lottery end up being better than most of the lottery picks

I was going to include Deyonta Davis as well, dudes massive 6-10, 245 with a 7-2 wingspan. Apparently he can knock down a 3 point shot too but wasn't able to show it at MSU.

Just shows everybody 1 of 2 things; you either have never watched him play, OR, if you have you don't have very good basketball knowledge. When has a 5-9 player done as good as him in college basketball in recent years? He wasn't even on most first round mocks until later in the season now he could very well be a lottery pick.

Let's say demps wants a PG and knows Evans will be moved by next offseason, you 100% want Dunn, but if we can't get Dunn and are able to get Ulis AND a future first or an established player you have to consider.

We desperately need this pick to hit, and I don't think trading back helps the chance of that.

I agree 100%, but if our guy is gone and we have say the 7th pick instead of 6th (30% chance) you have to entertain and listen to offers if they are out there. Philly (depending on lottery results), Denver, Phoenix, and Boston all have 3 first round picks this year. Plenty of trade partners if we really have too.

I don't think you can have the 6th or 7th picks and really have a guy you are specifically targeting. You have to let the trade board work itself and then take BPA or biggest need. If they really believe that Ullis is going to be a star or want him, I'd rather they just stick at their spot and reach for him (same with Valentine). Rather than trade down and possibly lose out on the guy they really want. More assets or picks are nice, but there is only so much youth you can add at once.

Also, why is everybody so down on Brown? The guy is a freak athlete with ideal size/measurements for a SF. He can't shoot yet, but that will probably come. In the mean time, he should be a defensive demon and a monster in transition. I can't think of the last time we have had anybody like that. I'm kind of warming up to him and hoping he is our guy..

One big difference though is size. Ulis came it at a really shocking 149lbs. 10 less then people were expecting.

I think he has a chance to make it but if I move back to that spot I would rather take a chance on a certain posters prospect fetish or Denzel Valentine who I still really like.

Ulis seems like he has a ceiling as a nice 6th, 7th man on a championship team. Not really what we need to be looking for right now IMO.

I go back and forth personally. I like that the guy seems to have an intellectual curiosity. Seems to be intelligent underneath some of his questionable decision -making. He's someone I would honestly like to have seen get another year in college to see how much he improves or stagnates.

He could fix his jumper and become an allstar or he could be another Julian Wright esque player. All the measurables you could hope for but was lacking mechanically and skill wise and just never put it together.

Luis is going to have major problems defending or finishing against anyone at 149lbs. That is just too small. He needs to add 20-25 lbs minimum.

I was thinking about this when looking at possibly acquiring Greg Monroe, and moving back to Milwaukee's spot at 10,11,12.

I'd have a hard time turning down Skal or Ellenson... but we'd probably have our choice of shooters like: Timothe Luwawu, Furkan Korkmaz, Malachi Richardson, Denzel Valentine, Malik Beasley

He seems like a good kid, that is very serious about his career. I didn't get to watch him much in college, but his highlights are pretty amazing. He was right there with Simmons coming into the season, as the top prospect. Plus we haven't had that type of athlete since probably JR Smith. Everybody just seems put off by him and I don't get it..

Back to the OP, I am wondering if one of those teams with multi-picks might look to shop them for something else or might be open to selling them. Let's say the Sixers get the first pick and then the Lakers pick is the forth. So they have two top 5 picks. Would they be open to shopping the other 2 1st rounders for somebody like Evans (who is from the area)? Lets say they offer Stauskas plus picks 24 and 26 for Evans. Would they or would we do that?

Fair enough, but Isaiah Thomas also struggled to get good shots off during the postseason. The talent is there, but when a guy has 6 inches and 20+lbs on you it's going to matter.

I am a big Taurean Prince fan. If they can trade down to 15 and 19 with Denver, giving up 6 and 40, I would take:

Prince, Demetrius Jackson, and Chris LeVert

All upperclassmen. All can shoot. All have defensive upside. Prince and Jackson have the potential to be defensive studs.

Good lord how many cliches did you manage to cram in there? You may as well have inserted Jimmer Fredette for valentine.
