Hawks had been soliciting offers for Teague or Dennis Schroder, per rival execs. Though recently they have focused more on Teague.

Would either of those be a good pairing with Jrue? I've liked what I've seen of Schroeder when we play them and based on reputation, but the stats say he's not a good shooter, finisher, doesn't get to the line much, and he turns the ball over a little too much.

I would imagine to get Schroeder you'd have to give up your pick top 7 protected since he's still on a rookie deal. Teague might be something you can do with Ryno and filler. You might have to include some Ish 2nds.

Do you give up a 1st for Schroeder? Do Teague and Jrue make a good pairing? Does either fit how Gentry wants to play?

No, he's not the answer to this team's needs.

I would love either of those 2....I think Shroeder would pair with Jrue better cosidering he is more of a pure scorer than Teague...But that's a very uninformed opinion.

Well that sells me right there.

But seriously, I like Schroeder but wouldn't give up a 1st round pick for him.

I was hoping he had better stats. I've only really seen him vs. the Pels, and we tend to make guards look good. Teague is another player I've only really watched vs. the Pels, but he can hit the 3 at an acceptable rate, he can penetrate, and he's like Jrue, a quality starter on a reasonable deal. I think I could be sold on Ryno and Ish for Teague if that's available.

By Ish, you referring to the package we got for him?

Also, Teague and Holiday would be a dynamic as shite duo imo.

Is there any chance that Atlanta will choose Schroeder and therefore move Teague if they get a good offer? Unlikely, but it’s possible I suppose, and if I am Dell Demps they are the first team I am calling. When it comes to secondary assists, total passes made per game, and distance covered, Teague is the closest guy in the league to Steph Curry. He is 2nd in the league in secondary assists and has an almost identical number of passes per minute and pass to assist percentage. They also have the exact same time of possession per game with the ball in their hand.
Like Holiday, he is not a prototypical point guard, nor is he a shooting guard. The two could be fantastic together and would theoretically fit perfectly in Gentry’s scheme if they could get a knockdown wing shooter the way Steph has in Klay and Teague currently has in Korver.

You could do a whole lot worse than Ryno for Teague. Teague/Jrue would be legit. If you let EG walk and were able to move Evans, would the Pels have enough $$$ to offer Batum/Parsons? What 2's are available?

Jrue/TD
Teague/1st or FA 2
Pon/1st or FA wing
Davis/DC
Asik/AA

You wouldn't have to sell me on that. I'm buying that the minute it's available. Hell, I'll pre-order.

That's very interesting. I can't imagine we were brazen enough to suggest a Mozgov for Asik swap, so does that mean Demps has a taker for Asik lined up?

I was thinking maybe an Ajinca for Mozgov swap to make the salaries work. That's really the only one I see unless we were taking back additional salary from them.

What motivations does Cleveland have to trade their better center for a worse center

Would love to have Mozgov instead of Asik, but what the hell could we offer them for Mozgov and also get rid of OA? Don't see it.

None. Which is why I'm guessing the talks didn't go anywhere. Maybe we included 2nd rd picks from the Ish trade.

I would gladly take Teague for Ryno, in a heartbeat. I could care less about 2nd round picks.

Only problem is if we give up Ryno and don't get a PF or C back, we are in some trouble down low. There would need to be another deal ready to happen after a Ryno/Teague trade that would get us a big man.

Why would we need another big?
AD/Cunningham -PF
Asik/AA/Perkins - C

Babbit can play PF in a small ball lineup if necessary. He actually added weight this offseason to do so. I think we would move a guard for someone in this scenario, but I think we can get by with what we have at 4/5 if need be. It's not like we are goin for a championship.

If we are staying with the tank, then sure.

Mozgov/Varejao for EG/Asik, sign Mozgov to new deal.
