In summer league, the most impressive aspect of brackens game was 3pt shooting which we don't need out of a pf

I agree with your sentiment .... having a 4 with legit 3pt range would be cool , but a having a 4 with a decent mid range shot that can still grab rebounds is even better.

Because of everything, this team has done nothing to improve on the crap we saw last year.

WTF are you talking about. Do you keep up with the game? This isn't a championship team yet, but it's roster is much better than last season.

don't really like this trade at all....

first bad move by Dell IMO.

Clearly, he and Monty are not as high on Brackins as you are. And while Songalia was solid, his game was limited. A healthy Jason Smith has a lot more upside.

hornets report

Well, as usual, Hornetsfan over there is pontificating about the trade and how it's horrible. Of course, I remember he's the same guy that was pissed we were getting rid of Baron Davis.

I don't even think it's that, people keep acting like this is Demps saying Smith > Brackins. This really is about fit.

West/Songaila/Brackins is no different than last year when our biggest problems were the lack of rebounding and defense down low.

West/Smith/Pops won't completely solve the problems from last year, but it's at least a step in the right direction.

I feel much better about our interior defense and rebounding with 2 7-footers now to go along with Okafor.

Demps really has transformed this roster.

I have the feeling he's a guy that is going to keep on tinkering, is not going to be afraid to admit he made mistakes, and is going to keep shuffling players until he gets the right fit.

I love what he's done with the Basketball Operations, and I think the roster is better than last year.

so Pops Mensa Bonsu is under contract now?

I guess I missed that somewhere...
No need for Amundson then as both fill the same role.

Not the only thing you missed Amundson signed with the Warriors. It looks like as soon as we knew we had lost out on him we moved in on Pops who was already under contract in Spain. I predicted the move a week before he signed right here LINK

I've been spending a lot of time working out with some friends who are trying to play professionally in Bulgaria... I did catch the Amundson to GS though.

Jason Smith is a great rebounder with good size and defensive instincts. Green can play 1 and 2, and can really light it up off the bench.

Great trade.

Admit it, you've never watched either play.

Green can definitely back up at the 1. He did it in Philly. He's a decent scorer with great quicks and good at getting to the hoop. At one point he replaced AI, and the 76ers were really high on him.
