I guess that's why it's important to actually watch the game rather than just melt down about it indiscriminately.

No new news on Cole that I've seen, but there's a doctor that posts on PR and often comments on injuries that was relieved to hear his surgery was just removing bone chips and changed his prediction for return from November 27th to November 18th. LINK Now this is a medical professional giving an opinion based on news articles, not medical charts and XRays, so take it with a huge grain of salt, but he is right to point out that removing bone chips is about as good as we could have hoped for as a diagnosis. I'm guessing Tyreke will be able to hit the ground running when he comes back, and it looks like we'll need him to.

I recorded it, started late and fast forwarded a lot. I apparently skipped Ryno going off in the 3rd, what I saw was AD making 3 perfect splash no net 3s nearly back to back to back, and Ryno laying bricks in the 4th. If Ryno had stayed hot in the 4th, they could have won the game, but as impressive as almost coming back from 30+ down sounds, nothing stood out to me in the almost comeback other than the AD 3s.

pelicans cut it to an 8 point lead with like 6 minutes or so left. Then CJ McCollum turned into Steph Curry

Nothing really to do with Gentry. I believe that Erman will get the ship righted.

Yeah the comeback was due a lot to Blazers coming back to earth for a while and the defense actually deciding that it would be best to not give up open 3s and offensive rebounds.

I'm not melting down. Just pointing out that they looked like absolute shite to start the year, from what I've seen. They've looked lazy and disinterested. Davis has looked particularly lazy to me.

I didn't watch the 2nd half and I don't really care. So they came back to lose by 16. Cool. Maybe they did some things to make themselves better in the 2nd half. Or maybe Portland did what teams in that situation do all of the time: let of the gas and coast.

We'll see. I've said repeatedly, even though I disliked the hire, I'll give Gentry a shot.

Its a new system with like half the contributing players out or limited.

I won't meltdown until about 20 games in. Then it will be full on melt mode.

settle down brotha, you've got 4 guys who are getting PT who are hanging on to an NBA roster spot by a string.

Perk, Robinson, Smith, Gee.. 3 of these guys wouldn't be getting minutes for any other team in the whole league. Gee is a guy who would be getting 10 minutes tops on a poor team. Then you've got guys like Cunningham out there for 30 minutes. A win over any team with the roster being trotted out there last night should be celebrated.

Not sure if you're trying to be reasonable or insult the team. Well played.

Our last coach didn't look this terrible when we had similar injury issues...

Our last coach dropped games to the Sixers and Knicks in a 3 game stretch last year. That's about as terrible as it gets.

Not everything is wrong, just like if they win Saturday, not everything will be right. 2 out of 82 on the road with some handicaps isn't a reason to quit on the season.

No one is quitting on the season (they're dumb if they are), but you can't look at the product SO FAR and tell me that you're enthused about the direction this team is heading and the lack of effort outside of a few role players.

Well of course not. But again, its 2% of the season. It's not been good, but it's not time to question the hires or changes in philosophy just yet.

Jester planted his flag on the Monty hill so we're going to hear about it whenever the opportunity arises this year, just like we heard about Aminu last year and Vasquez the year before that. It's his thing.

Hiring a retread guy that has a losing record was just not a good idea.

Signed the Patriots and Seattle. He also had a winning record at his last job

It has been 2 games. Two and both without at least 2 starters and Cole

The direction of the team with Tyreke, Asik, Quincy, Cole out,and a limited Jrue ?

We got our asses handed to us opening night by a team who would have beaten Jordan's Bulls. Yes, we got beat by a bad team last night in a b2b on the road that isn't that good.

But the direction of the team with the injuries after 2 games? Holy moly.

As I've said repeatedly, I'll wait until a lot of the injured guys are back and see what we've got.

But no one can deny that SO FAR, the players look lost and lazy. Even with a lot of injured players, they should at least be playing hard. They are not. That is what is most concerning to me.

We will see.
