You're emotion has always shown through your posting, and I appreciate that. But you need to relax

We lost two or more games in a row 6 times last season including two 4 game losing streaks. We made the playoffs

You got a team that starting practicing and building rapport early this offseason, and then you got 4 25+ mpg players who aren't a go. Insert two guys who have been here a week and guys getting heavy minutes who are role players. It's discombobulated and the machine isn't running properly

If this team is blown out by Portland at full health then don't worry but frick man this reaction to two games is utterly ridiculous

You do realize there's more to the team direction than the players, right? Even then, the way Davis is being used is terrible.

The team looks lethargic and unmotivated.

ETA: outside of a few role players who are fighting for a roster spot when the inactives come back.

There's no reason (especially with a new coach) that players should be playing lazy and 4 guys are getting outrebounded by 1. That shite would infuriate me as a coach. I understand being out-talented, but you should NEVER be out-hustled

Being right is a good thing to be. Y'all should try it some time. As much shite as I caught on this board for not losing my shite over Monty, Greivis, and Aminu, I've earned as much. Deal with it.

Signed the Patriots and Seattle. He also had a winning record at his last job

Both of them had short runs on one gig before. Gentry has had several NBA HC jobs.

And you can easily tell this through our poor rebounding and defense. Both of those require a lot of effort. AD is a good player when he's got the hot hand, but besides the occasional blocked shot, this dude has nothing on defense.

I don't pretend to be an X's an O's guru, but lots of people who do have talked about how the P&R isn't working because they don't respect Ish. AD needs to be set up and we have no play makers to do so. That is not a system issue, that is a lack of competent PG issue.

Here are the on/off numbers. LINK Our highest offensive rating is with Jrue on the court, 102.1. next highest is Ish at 96.4. When those 2 are off the court we see the worst (Ish with 73.7) and 4th worst (Jrue 86.4) offensive ratings. Basically the offense is disastrous without one of those 2 on the floor and it's only been good when Jrue is playing.

I'm not defending the coaching, I'm saying the roster problems are so big we can't tell if there are coaching problems.

The defense has been so awful that it's hard to tell what they're even trying to do. Simplified rotations apparently means a shite ton of wide open 3s.

The difference is we are 2 games into a coaching tenure rather than 4 years in. You can only get so many incompletes, especially when you force your boss to choose between you and the GM.

I remember when AD was misused last season and was the best player in the league

Pretty spectacular

Well, when the GM is responsible for 4 incompletes, maybe it's time he goes.

I think you are right here. I think we started off with some great plays to start the game with Jrue dishing out some nice passes, but there was zero execution coming from the players. Sounds like a personnel issue to me rather than a coaching one, although the defensive issues sounds like poor coaching considering there was a clear lack of effort during the first half last night. All in all, it's a combination of the two I guess.

There's a good chance we could be 1-5 going into a back to back against Dallas. Then this place will be a real shitshow

The traffic on this board would probably just decrease at that point.

Loomis obviously disagrees. I was for moving on from both. If this team ends up being bad what do you do, keep Gentry and his multiyear contract and fire Demps? Then you're right back where you started with a potential GM/Coach mismatch. Loomis has bet a lot on this being the right move, so let's hope the chicken littling is indeed unwarranted.

Agreed, but a lot of that seems to be stemming from the terrible Guard play. Guards are just having their way with Ish, Nate, and Gordon.
