Hiring a retread guy that has a losing record was just not a good idea. With the exception of drafting AD Dell Demps has been a disaster. All of this sunshine pumping will eventually fade and we will be left with a losing basketball team. You are what your record says you are.

This is impossible. I was told by the sunshine pumpers that this is a great hire who would get the most out of AD and be fun to watch...

What's impossible is for people to be any more reactionary. We're missing 4.5 of the top 10 players on the roster and coaching is the problem? Transitioning to a new scheme would have been bumpy at full strength, but there's a reason the team is dead last in rebounding % instead of top 10 (Asik) and why they look so lost on offense (Tyreke and part time Jrue). But yeah, lets declare changing schemes a failure 2 games in and with 45% of the meaningful roster out.

I was against the Gentry hire but once we hired him I kinda came on board with it. It's only two games in but our defense is awful. Our offense is too. Hopefully we play much better at home Saturday

Our last coach didn't look this terrible when we had similar injury issues...

Sure, injuries are an issue, but to act like there hasn't been major cause for concern in these 2 games is just burying one's head.

We are missing our 2nd best player, our starting point guard isn't getting a bunch of minutes because of injury, and missing our starting Center. Not to mention a couple weapons off the bench. R-E-L-A-X

If Gentry doesn't turn this around quick, it could poison this franchise. A coach who the players respected and loved was fired after taking a big step forward. Aside from the amount of shite the team will catch from the media, it could be an issue inside of the locker room. Uncle Al plays Drake at practice, though.

The problem is that the early games in the season means just as much as trying to score wins late in the season when jockying for a playoff birth or position. We are in for a rough ride until our guys get healthy. I believe we won't have a full healthy squad until January. shite, the way we are looking we might play ourselves right out of the playoffs by the end of December.

Im so upset with what is happening to this board. This used to be one of my favorite sports boards on the site. Saints Talk was insufferable, Tiger Rant is psych ward. But here, we used to be level-headed and knowledgeable. Now we've been inundated with Ranters and morons and emotionally stunted imbeciles.

People have been wanting to murder Gordon for years, fire a coach taking major step forwards, and lose their shite every time Asik misses a shot. This board has never been level-headed. We are just sucking worse than EG year 1 so far, so yeah, people are lashing out.

But now we have people who literally dont understand the implications of NBA basketball. There are 82 games. 82. We always knew these first months worth of games were going to be...tough.

There's a good chance we could be 1-5 going into a back to back against Dallas. Then this place will be a real shitshow

As lost as they look on the court, this is more of a certainty. We know there's no hope for Saturday night that's for sure.

The only hope is a good-looking game 1 t-shirt.

We are two games into the season. We have a new coach and new system for our guys to learn. We have key players injured. Chill the frick out. NBA seasons are 83 games long. You know who else has a 0 in the win column? The Cavaliers.

When did Monty have no PG? Vasquez and Jack could create for others. Even when Brian Roberts started half a season you still had Tyreke playing 25-35 mpg.

Through 2 games you have an average of 10.5 minutes from Jrue and unguaranteed minimum guys that weren't on a roster 2 weeks ago. The rebounding has also been atrocious (dead last in the league in rebound %) and Asik alone should hopefully be enough to turn that around, that's what he did before, that's the main thing he brings to the table.

You have a superstar that looks lost because he doesn't create his own shot and nobody is there to create shots for him. I'm not saying it will definitely work. I was team JVG but I'm willing to give Gentry the benefit of the doubt and I don't see how you can call the current results anything but inconclusive considering what they're missing. If AD looked this bad and he was a shot creator like KD or LeBron, then it'd be time to panic, but the offense not flowing when we have no play makers and the defense being terrible when we don't have any rebounding to get the ball back off of missed shots does not make me think it's time to panic.
