I'd love for him to prove us wrong and if he wins enough in the playoffs to earn his keep I'd be happy. But he's done enough bad without showing enough good that I have little faith he can make that happen.

We have more of a chance against GS than we do against Memphis,, bc our styles are similar. No, we wouldn't beat GS either.

AD is clearly the better player but GSW runs their offense through Bogut and he is the most important defensive player on their team. His impact is massive.

Golden State's offense is run through their guards. They may use him as a pivot in the offense, but to imply that he's their offensive centerpiece is disingenuous, but I guess that's your whole MO here.

AD's defensive impact > Bogut's defensive impact.

I actually think we match up well with Golden State, we can go small when they go small. That doesn't mean that we'd win in a 7 game series, though.

i think i disagree
we all saw last night what a team with long, lean, fast big men can do to this team's defense. GSW is not that. bogut is a decent/very good rim protector, and an elite passer out of the post, but is not in any way a rim runner. neither is lee, or green, or speights, etc.

i doubt that the pels would/could win in oakland, but the home games would be in play. realistically, they arent going to be any higher seeded than 7, amd morelikely 8, if they squaek in. that means either GSW or MEM right now. i'd rather take my chances with GSW

No. They were playing 6'9" centers without Bogut. And Tyreke was making layups.

Agreed, Memphis is just a bad match up for us. they bring out bad Reke.

And we were defending the 4 with Ryan Anderson and Luke Babbitt.

I never said he was the centerpiece, I said the offense is run though him and it clearly is just like the Memphis offense is run though Gasol and the Bulls offense is run through Noah. Is Noah the Bulls offensive centerpiece? No. Is ths offense run though him? Yes. If you knew basektball like you think you do you'd know there's a difference.

AD's defensive impact > Bogut's defensive impact.

One guy leads the league in defensive plus minus and under 39% at the rim anchoring the #1 defense in the NBA. The other gives up over 52% at the rim and his teams defense sucks oftentimes with him to blame.

Defensive win shares: Bogut
Defensive rebound rate: Bogut
Block rate: Bogut

You remind me of the guy that stands too close to the opposing team's huddle in an only half-heartedly joking way. The only difference is that you also interject and aggravate the members of the huddle. Desperately longing for something, yet it constantly eludes you.

Correct, if his hoops acumen is that lacking a post like mine is just what the Dr ordered to bring him up to speed so to speak.

I'm not sure this team will make the playoffs, let alone win in them.

I'm sure there are a lot of teams that would hate to see us in the first round: a bonafide superstar not in his prime yet, a good defensive PG and C, a very good stretch 4, and a wildcard in Tyreke.

Still don't have the depth or the talent necessary (a SF) to beat GS or Mem in a 7 game series.

I said it before: the roster is built for the playoffs, not the regular season.

You can play a limited rotation in the playoffs, not over 82 games.

Ultimately they lose because Monty. But the roster, aside from a big wing, is good enough to win a playoff series
