The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking it might make sense to hold on to AD until FA starts to wind down. Assuming you don't get the offer you want before then.

I don't know about until it starts to wind down, but it could make sense to wait until the big chips start to fall.

Kawhi signs with Clippers, would they prefer to pair him with AD or their current roster?

Lakers strike out on the big names, how many unprotected future picks can we get?

Kyrie signs with Boston, Ainge is more secure and can make the move.

Kyrie signs with the Nets, who will they pair with him now that KD is out?

There isn't as big of a worry now that one or multiple teams will pair up a couple of stars so AD could be the missing piece.

Worth thinking about if the right deal doesn't come along.

Ideally you want to strike before free agency to get the best offers from teams looking to put together a super team.

If those offers don’t come in, we can wait and someone who missed out could offer a good deal for him.

And if those deals don’t come in, we can go into the season with shithead and keep playing him until we are out of the playoff hunt or someone makes us a good enough offer.

About the only thing I refuse to do is sell low to the Lakers. They can get him but they have to pay EVERYTHING.

One main thread on rumors per day is a solid move. Sifting through 4 different "Bomb" threads was becoming tedious

Mannix just said that Celtics won’t put up Tatum without getting an idea from Kyrie about returning and that Ainge is asking the Pels to slow the trade talks for that.

If the only other suitor is the Lakers, I don’t mind slowing down a bit for Boston.

If someone else puts up a good offer, that goes out the window.

Mannix is very connected in Boston.

Well that pretty much sucks. C'est le vie.

On to the next one

Ainge can go to hell. We "slowed the trade talks" for 4 months for that a-hole under the promise that he would make Tatum available along with a huge deal this summer. Now he wants us to wait to appease him? I would tell him he has until midnight to add Tatum or else lose my number.

He was talking on NBA radio. He said pretty much everything but Tatum is available without an indication from kyrie about returning, but no Tatum. He said Ainge wants time to try to find out if Kyrie will stay with an AD trade. (Though the Roc Nation hire probably isn’t a good sign).

I don’t think we can wait a whole lot longer, hopefully Ainge can find out by Monday.

If Kyrie signs with Brooklyn the Celtics are going to offer Brown, Smart, and a future first of their own.

Tatum and the Memphis pick will not be available.

I didn’t think they liked Kyrie that much after this year. Hopefully, Ainge is trying to play hardball and leaking stuff to the media through Mannix.
