Will ainge really risk being left without both AD/Kyrie and falling further behind The Bucks(or even Philly) when the championship window is wide open?

To be fair, this is AD we're talking about. Not a Kawhi or a LeBron or a Durant.

AD+Hayward, Horford and scrubs ain't winning shite.

Celtics guard Rozier believes he and AD could be the “next Kobe and Shaq” if Boston completes trade with New Orleans

Rozier trying to pack Kyrie's bags for him.

Rozier reminds me of IT. A little success in a short span and he thinks he's worth gigantic money.

If the trade hinges on the whims of this guy’s crazy head...

Well Kyrie is likely to either give him no assurances, or give him an assurance that he's leaving.

I hope I'm wrong, but if retaining Kyrie is the key to getting Tatum, I think it's over for Boston

It was only a day ago that Woj reported that Ainge had a backup plan involving Mike Conley.

And that Ainge's mindset is approaching AD like they did Garnett. Get the guy that said he didn't want to be there, then work the rest of the time proving Boston is where he wants to be. And by all accounts Ainge is confident in that.

Plus, as I mentioned before, the league is just different in a year. LA is either going to fill up their cap or Lebron is going to start demanding out(which LA doesn't have to oblige). New York is likely either sitting empty or with a rehabbing KD that no longer looks incredibly desirable. Brooklyn will be taken up by Kyrie's contract.

Good chance Ainge could bring in Conley, put AD next to Horford(who wants to retire there), they push for a championship in the East and AD has no real instant conteders to go to anymore.

Yeah I saw that last night.

Somehow I don't think Terry Rozier will be a significant influence on That'sAllFolks

Wouldn't salaries have to match for them to get Conley?

but if waiting gets you better other stuff, it may even out

Froma risk balancing standpoint, I just don't see how waiting until free agency makes any sense. I strongly feel that there is more downside than upside in waiting.

I don't see what team ups there offer after free agency except maybe Boston. But if Kyrie goes to the Nets (as expected), we lose a lot of negotiating power with the Lakers.

I dont know.

But get AD, then persuade Kyrie. If he goes to Nets, get Russell..... thatd be my goal if Im Ainge, bc I do think they can get AD to stick next year

I agree. If we wait for Boston, and then they end up not doing the trade at all, then we have no leverage anymore and we'll have to take a poo poo platter from the Lakers or clippers or Knicks.

Totally agree, but Griffin HAS to portray that he's in no rush. He will just wait and see what happens.

Even though thats a lie.
