deftones are great. around the fur is still my favorite. white pony is a defining album for them.

Deftones and Sevendust are two groups that for some reason I never got into.

Big fan of their work. My favorite album is Koi No Yokan.

Koi No Yokan is easily the best of their “later” albums, imo.

For me:
1) White Pony
2) Koi No Yokan
3) Adrenaline
4) Around the Fur
5) Ohms
6) Diamond Eyes
7) Saturday Night Wrist

The rest

They're absolute trash live though. Their big, overproduced sound does not translate well to live performance

I’ve only seen them once, several years ago at The Varsity, but they certainly weren’t trash that night.

I mean I didn't get into them either for a while. About a 5-6 years ago to be exact, but I was glad I did. They are very underrated too.

I loved the first album adrenaline when I was a kid. Never crazy about anything after. That album was raw and I was a teenager

I wasn't even a Deftones fan and I knew that Chevelle ripped them off.

I like all of their albums up until Gore. Gore had maybe 3 good songs on it. Ohms is just boring and lazy.

You're not missing anything after Sevendust's first 2 albums. They have all sucked since those. They had a few good songs when Sonny Mayo was in the band.

They're a lot like Finger Eleven to me. They had 2 awesome albums at the start, but then BARF!

Self title record always gets overlooked but is a personal favorite. Bloody Cape, Hexagram, and Minerva are 3 of my top 5 Deftones songs.

They are prob my favorite american band. I really dig all of their stuff and it doesnt get old to me.

I like most stuff with chino though. Crosses has some good stuff.

team sleep is being released on vinyl for rsd so im going to try and snag a copy on Saturday.

The only Deftones album I don't like is Gore.

Love ‘em. I echo most of the sentiments layed out prior. I loooove the more mellow, melodic stuff. Entombed is my favorite track, just before Kimdracula. Love KNY and White Pony, but there are bangers on every album (along with some trash).

And they are definitely hit or miss live; even song to song. Like others said, some just don’t translate live, and some venues just aren’t built for this sound.

My favorite cover is Joe Jackson’s “Stepping Out”. Though you think it wouldn’t, somehow that just makes sense.
