I love hearing great songs without all of the production and I want to build a nice playlist, covers from other artists are welcome. Hook a brother up!

"Keith Don't Do" by Nils Lofgren:

At the least, I'd like some feedback on the guitar playing. Makes the hairs on my neck stand up.

Nils is an awesome guitarist, a guy who can play electric and acoustic with equal virtuosity. Love to hear him pick and play one of his Takamine's.

Look up Elton John's 1977 performances at the Rainbow Theatre in London. It's just him and his piano and voice, Ray Cooper is there for a few songs but it's subdued a bit.

Here's one

Patty Griffin's debut "Living With Ghosts"

It was her demo, just her voice and acoustic guitar... A&M released it, as is..

Punch Fight frick - Hank Williams III

I wish there was a full version of this song from the Wild And Wonderful Whites movie. I know there are electric and acoustic versions but I can't find one just like this at the tempo he's playing it, which is just right IMO. Seems like there has to be a full version somewhere; I figure he played it complete for the movie even if they edited it down.

If anybody knows where I can find that, I would appreciate a heads up on it. TIA.

Townes Van Zandt -Lungs. Some of the finest lyrics ever written...gained popularity when featured on True Detective, "my family has been here a long long time" scene.

Hank Jr. - cover of Come and Go Blues...so damn smooth.

Great White unplugged, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You

When I first heard of this, I was like riiiight.

But the dude (Jack Russell) can sing like hell. And the guitar work is pretty sweet.

Clapton sent acoustic guitar sales booming. Probably not for pre war Martins, but booming.

AIC Unplugged probably made the Guild people ecstatic. I'm guessing pre 1990 you really had to be a guitar nerd or "real" musician to know what a Guild was. I may be wrong.

Pearl Jam

Black Unplugged. It is awesomeness. But that's from a vocal standpoint.
Porch is where the band just goes apeshit.
