Well, you don't have to watch them

Don't worry, Melissa McCarthy will have a new movie coming out in that span that you can enjoy. You can get a big of tub of popcorn and butter and a 72oz soda and enjoy her in Tammy 2 or something. Those horrible billion dollar comic book movies can't bother you there.

According to Umberto Gonzales, Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns will have COMPLETE creative control of the solo Batman film. Ben Affleck will be the new Nolan and Geoff Johns will be his consigliere. This is great news and it means that Snyder, Goyer, and everyone else involved in BvS will not be involved.

I like that he is a fan and is taking it on his back. Ihave liked most Affleck directed movies. I think he can do this. I liked him in BvS and think this will be a blockbuster (in today's terms over $850M WW)
If it fails, it's all on him though.

I wonder if we'll have to sit through another origin story. I hope so. Because I'm still kind of confused as to how he ended up as batman.

Maybe we can get an entire Batman movie of him sitting at the Bat computer and having dreams/visions for two hours. Then we find out he never once moved from the chair the entire time and all of it took place in a span of three minutes.
SWERVE!

Would be a nice feather in the cap for affleck as a director and writer if he can pull this off

Great news...I think he's going to kill it. I was watching The Town the other day and just kept thinking this tone is perfect for Batman.

I prefer all of these to comic book movies
I'd rather watch comic book movies than animated cartoons. That's the easy money that a lot of the big names love because they can roll into work in their pajamas and a cap and clock a few mil. No wardrobe, make-up, learning lines.
Plus the studios love them because the kids love them and they market well for merchandise and kids meals at FF joints.
So yeah, I prefer the comics to cartoons.
