Be shocked. He signed on for BvS and the JL movies. After they saw his performance they signed him on for the additional Batman movies.

I certainly hope so. DC needs to release WW, solo Batman, and a solo Superman before JL IMO. Superman is on life support in this universe (no pun) and requires the dedication of an entire movie to get the GA to love him again.

I probably won't be since he's clearly getting it. Even if it wasn't written down, I'd be surprised if Affleck didn't request to make his own Batman film free of studio constraints if he took the role.

They began shooting JL in Scotland yesterday.

Superman's situation at the end of BvS leads directly into JL.

They're not going to rearrange the schedules for their next four films at this juncture.

Which in 2 years will be looked at as one of the worst decisions in movie production history. They should have fired Snyder and brought some good director who had passion for the subject. Then have Bruce Timm salvage the universe, have another 3 movies before Justice League, and then try it with a competent director. Instead Snyder will make another shitty movie, and the universe will die.

This is new. When did you come up with this? You've been pretty quiet on the subject.

If Justice League pulls a similar number to BvS it will. It should have been a 1.5 billion dollar movie, but it's looking like it won't break a billion. If this happens again and they realize they've lost billions due to the movies being pieces of shite, then they'll learn.

You're assuming that Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman (two non-Snyder directed films) will bomb.

No need to kill the universe. Kill the cancer of a director and hand Benfleck the reins or another talented director

I'm cheering on Suicide Squad, and let's face it, Wonder Woman does have a chance at that.

They broke even at worst with BvS. If SS is good and Batman continues to be good in JL, the universe will continue. WW doesn't even have to be very good or do that well, IMO. A lot of people liked WW in BvS and just about everyone loved Batman. They'll get rid of Snyder after JL one and this universe will continue regardless. The only reason, IMO, they kept Snyder on was because they already invested too much money to fire him at this point. He'll have less control. That's already been reported. JL will also have a smaller budget. If it's bad, they have a better opportunity to make a profit.

The Batmans and Suicide Squads will continue. A Suicide Squad sequel has already been rumored to be in the works. They're actually very confident in that movie.

JL would have to do extremely bad for even the future of other JL movies to be in trouble. It would have to do like less than 4 or 5 hundred million and I don't think there's any way that's possible.

Which equates to hundreds of millions lost from what they were expecting. Trust me, no company is contempt with breaking even. They were planning on putting that money to other use. That quote is the least viable argument I can think of towards a studio executive. They'd fire anyone on the spot who said such a thing. Breaking even isn't an option.

Its been less than a month though. Its quite late to take the reigns from the director and vice versa. Watch behind the scenes of the Hobbit if you want proof of this.

I'm not saying they're happy with BvS, but I don't think they kill the universe because of it.

Now, if SS is bad and tanks, then I think they start looking at the core of things. We're not talking about Fantastic Four here where everything from the movie was complete shite. There was some opportunity there that I think they squandered for sure. If SS is good and makes a profit, they're not going to kill everything. That I think would be bad business.

Great to see it's finally official. Also, rumor has it Will Smith's Deadshot will be in it as well. Not sure if that' good or bad, but that's the word right now.

Cue the "Will Smith will ruin the movie" comments. If he's good in SS, it won't matter. Will Smith still can draw a crowd. I have no problem with it.

Enjoy Suicide Squad, it will be head and shoulders above any Snyder-directed JL movie.

Even if it's Ares who is pulling the strings behind the scene?
