Initially I thought Russell but I think it may be Brown's oldest son. Whoever it was is tall and skinny. Maybe she told her family.

to draw attention away from him

I think it has to be Russell

Russell is the villain. The show is called Vice Principals. Gamby and Russell are rivals. Russell is trying to take out Gamby and pin it on someone else, probably Brown.

This will set up the battle between Gamby and Russell for next season. We will be led to believe that it was someone else for the first few episodes but then it will be revealed that Russell was behind it. Then the war begins and Gamby will come out on top as the sole Principal of North Jackson High.

Yea I think he taped the conversation at the flagpole so that Gamby looks bad and he can frame Brown at the same time. I'm hoping Gamby and Brown team up to take him down.

i was amazed at the quality and depth of this series

i thought it was another east bound and down where it is just the Kenny powers character rebranded being a dick to people (don't get me wrong, that's funny)

there was a lot going on between gamby and Russell, emotional depth which made it all the more funny that they're both complete sociopaths

watching them bond in the finale while raising the flag pole was satisfying and had something going on, and then you remember all of the shite that they've done and it becomes hysterical.

Watch it again. There's a bit of a blip where the gun looks sideways. I don't know if it's an editing mistake or not.

What about Ray? This would be epic in my opinion.

All the comments over the years have built up but Gamby has always been his own worst enemy when it came to his ex and daughter allowing Ray to be the man. Then he pulls the dirt bike giveaway and the ex falls for him again and Ray loses his shite. I get that it's probably not Ray but Gamby living and finding out it's Ray? The writing could be awesome.

My favorite part of the show is how nice Ray is to Gamby even when Gamby is a huge dick to him. That and every single "mutha fricka" Russell says makes me laugh out loud.

Just as an aside on movie trivia:

The music that plays at the end of the finale is the musical theme from the old black and white Lord of the Flies movie. Sort of an interesting meta commentary on what's going on when you consider the themes of Lord of the Flies (types of power and ways people keep and consolidate it).

It's specifically music attached to Jack and his choir boys who become the authoritarian power wielders in the movie (think Hitler/Stalin).

Here's a video:

And for a description from the book about what's happening in this scene:
quote:

Within the diamond haze of the beach something dark was fumbling along. Ralph saw it first, and watched until the intentness of his gaze drew all eyes that way. Then the creature stepped from mirage onto clear sand, and they saw that the darkness was not all shadow but mostly clothing. The creature was a party of boys [

Yes. I'm a freaking movie and literature geek.

Holy frick.

That might be the best series I've ever watched. Every episode was unexpected.

But what the frick happened to Russell? He just got away with everything? Was he the shooter? Will Brown frick him in the first episode?

I cannot wait to see how this plans out.

That season was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

I wouldn't be surprised by anything at this point. The shooter could be brown, could be Russell, could be the crazy teacher, could be a bad kid.

I think Ms. Libby too. Forty years and canned in an instant.

Odds are it's Brown or Russell, but she's my dark horse.

How dark do you think the show gets? Dr. Brown doesn't show up to work to resign because Russell offed her after he stupidly spilled the beans about the arson, then shot Gamby to make it look like Dr. Brown, which would explain why she's suddenly missing. That dark?

Could absolutely get that dark. I was expecting Brown to kill herself.

I halfway expected Gamby to wake up from a dream up until the credits rolled. Still think it's a possibility.

I think he wakes up in the hospital with Russell as principal.
