Initially I thought Russell but I think it may be Brown's oldest son. Whoever it was is tall and skinny. Maybe she told her family.

Not sure how people are saying it couldn't be Russell. He's the one who lit Brown's house on fire without hesitation. He spits in everyone's drinks. He keeps portfolios on everyone. He checked his mother-in-law. Every fricked up thing about getting Brown out was his idea. He's a total psychopath.

Also, the shooter didn't shoot Gamby to kill him. The shooter easily could've shot him in the head, but didn't. The shooter shot him to get him out of the way. Even though Russell is crazy, he wants Gamby to know it was him who did it, and he's going to work it out to look like Brown did it.

shite, Russell is probably responsible for Bill Murray's wife's cancer somehow.

ETA: Having said all that, Russell is absolutely hilarious. Goggins nailed it.

Russell probably did it too to keep gamby out of work so that when they make a decision it'll be easier to pick Russell over him

I thought it was a paintball gun at first.

So who got him.

It could be the next vice principal in charge. Would be payback to gamby and russell when they were VP.

Maybe nothing and probably is

Re watched the first episode last night. In a little tussle with Gamby in Russel, Russel tells Gamby in the middle of their "air fist fight" that he "better bring a gun" then point his fingers at him like he was pointing a gun.

Could be foreshadowing could be me reading into things.

I don't think it was Brown.

Do we know when season 2 starts? Not sure I can wait that long.

This show has far exceeded my expectations.

Russell seems far more calculating and snakelike to have been this obvious. Why set two cars on fire in the parking lot and expect only Gamby to run out there? In reality there would have been a number of people heading in that direction, not to mention the 500 pair of eyes that would have been gawking out of every window once the cars exploded.

It doesn't seem like that kind of brazen action is part of his makeup.

When the shooter is first shown from the back it clearly looks like to have a pair of women's legs

I don't think it was Brown either. Seems strange they would do so many horrible things to her, literally lure her into going crazy, make her lose her family and job, then turn her into the villain.

We have to remember that Gamby and Russell are the villains in this show. Brown is the good character.

A flamboyant Russell is perfectly capable of disguising himself as a woman. He already has the walk down.

Russell is the true Villain. Gamby had reasons for everything he did.

Needing the job to pay for the horse.
Needing to have more clout in his daughter's eyes.

He starts to redeem himself when he sees that him and Brown are similar. Then he finds out the cool step dad envied him.

Hit was Russell who started the fire, wanted to break into the house and frame her with the liquor.

I think he played a cross dresser in Sons of Anarchy, and he played it VERY well

Danny McBride said it's all already filmed, so it's on HBO for when they want to debut season 2

I'm still in shock.

It has to be Brown or her assistant, right? She's not gonna just go away quietly. That isn't her style. Russell threw her shoe at the end of their confrontation on the tracks, which was the last straw. Total humiliation which sent her over the edge.
