From what I read I think they've already filmed the second season and will be releasing it in the Spring.

I thought Dr. Brown was going to go to the cops and say she was blackmailed by arsonists.
I also think more likely the shooter was Russel and not Brown. He wanted the principal job and was just faking like he was happy splitting duties. Gamby let him know he was going to the car, and then the shooter showed up. Russel would don a fat suit. Gamby will tell police it's Brown and all the shite they did will come to light.
HBO better not leave us hanging like they did the brink. I will cancel and just steal their shows if so.
