So he had a little brother that looks to have died in Nam.
He was basically the little brothers parent growing up, which explains how he turned out so well considering.

I agree with you on the Kevin pill story. At this time, it’s not interesting.
I like the look backs way more than the current stories.
Jack’s brother is probably going to be a good story. If they served together, could be Jack was involved.

The Jacks' brother storyline seems to me as something they added in after it was renewed to keep the story going. I don't think they ever had an intention to bring this up .

Yeah too much going on. With the jumping timelines I don’t want to see the Dad in AA and the son popping Vicodin.
The brother plot line looks interesting but an add on. I’ve said it before here this show had the foot on the gas and your tear ducts all of season 1. They had to let off sometime.
Trying to steer the audience off of “how’d jack die?” Then when they think they have you lulled with 3-4 new plots then..... BAM!
What happened to the plot point where Kate loses wait (actress actually has surgery)? Toby is getting skinnier while she gets bigger.

Looks like the house catches fire. I guess the Kevin pillhead storyline is lineage to Jack's drinking and his dad's drinking. Perhaps the dad blamed Jack for the brother's death.

Starting to not care how he dies. And the new scenes. Who's next? The Gilmore Girls? At this point, Vice Principals on HBO is more engaging than this.
