I could definitely see this. GOT and The Walking Dead have ridiculous followings at this point. Neither show warrants it in my opinion (that's not to say I don't watch them and enjoy them). I just think there are better shows out there.
Boardwalk Empire is one show that I could never get into. Mad Men didn't interest me for awhile but I got sick one weekend awhile back and binge watched it and it reeled me in bad.

i watched the entire first season of breaking bad and stopped. just wasnt interested enough to get through it.
i have watched almost 2 seasons of the wire and it's been like 6 months since ive watched an episode. i blame the hype as it's obviously a good show but i was expecting GOAT quality and that's usually a recipe for disaster.
it's pretty tough to get me excited enough to power through a series with a shite load of episodes.

Orange is New Black. Not funny for a comedy, not serious for a drama
Breaking Bad mostly depressed me. I disliked almost all the characters and truly hated Skylar, and I generally don't enjoy shows or movies about drugs.
Rome. Just couldn't get into it.
Lost. Got bored after a few episodes where nothing happened. I should give this one another chance.

Walking Dead is terrible. Every episode is the exact same. Opening action, horribly depressing filler and cliffhanger. Rinse and repeat. I stopped watching after the first season.

I've watched over 50 percent of Mad Men. I was sort of into it for awhile but not like hardcore. I imagine it was kind of like how women like soap operas. You get into the story and it's better than most of what else is on so you just keep watching it. You just don't have the desire to spend a single spare second considering the show or talking about it.
