well finally getting to see that preview dispels any notion I had of Darryl and Co. getting back in time to save Rick's butt.

So Darryl screwed, Rick screwed, everyone screwed.

To me the worst part of this episode was Carol having a hard on to get down there and kill that Wolf knowing what was going on outside. Seemed really stupid and forced.

So to recap till next Feb:

Maggie laying in stake out stand....Glenn watching from a tree

Rick and Co. about to be food...thanks to Sam

Darryl loses his toys...again.

Deanna dead, her son Spencer & gay boy were both absent from this episode. Do they save the day?

Rick makes it apparent that he wants to Save Alexandria.....Do they save it and stay there?

Also what happened to Rick's carpenter friend? They showed Tara and Rosita go help him up and run, but then we never saw him again.

True dat.

I would rather barricade myself in a house than risk the guts trick. I would also seek out a renaissance fest and stock up on chain-mail and leather armor. Then maybe I'd risk walking among them. I went to one with my family last Sunday and noticed the chain mail suits and boiled leather armor for sale, really nice quality.

Alexandrians all made a major fail by not securing their homes better. Each house should have been set up like a house in the hood. Bars on windows and security doors. Then have the brackets that hold 2x4s on each entry door. You see that in the hood,so it would make sense to have it when trying to survive a plague that turns everyone who dies into monsters.

Considering that the truck that they were in was freaking fuel truck, I'm sure they weren't too keen on the bikers firing those weapons anywhere near the truck...just saying.

The actor who plays Gabriel must have Nekkid pics of Scott Gimple. It's the only explanation for his FaceTime on the show. He brings nothing to the story and offers zero comic relief like Eugene.

I hope not. To me, the draw of the show is watching how the move to different strongholds and fortify them/figure out the weaknesses. I think the show would get stale if they stayed in the same place for an extended period of time. I'm ready for them to move on from Alexandria.

ok...how about stop as soon as you see them, and have the RPG at the ready?

The RPG launcher was the very first thing that came to mind. That's a nice asset to have on your side.

This. And even more so - learn and drill some basic antiquities era fighting formations - phalanx/schiltron/legion formations. Heck, a basic shield wall. Those would work excellently against a horde.

theres a whole chapter in "WWZ" about that very thing...its pretty interesting and certainly effective against the horde. semi-auto volley fire from a four-sided position, with ammo and back-up riflemen in the center. as one side of the position volleys out, it is replaced by the stand-by rifles, so the result is sustained carefully placed fire without wasting ammo or pausing for reload

well that would be nice if there was someone around who knows those techniques, it takes a very well trained army to execute that well. You expect a bunch of civilians to do that with zero training. Its not like they can pull up a video on Google and learn that way. All the Google machines are down.

I always thought building tree houses and living Swiss family Robinson style is the best way to go, walkers have shown no ability to climb.

You watch too many movies. If you shoot a gas tank it doesnt blow up like Michael Bay was directing it.

Honestly after watching shows like Game of thrones. The WD is really kinda cheesy and the acting sub par. The pump you up speeches are getting old. I watch the show because I watched from the beginning but between the commercials and the shitty new people going into the show I don't really care that much anymore.
