Is it, though? Pete was well aware of the variant Gamora in Endgame- several scenes were dedicated to it. And she wasn’t amnesiac- it wasn’t that version that had the memories to lose in the first place.

I guess I’m just a soft, sissy titty-baby…..but this movie was sad.

When baby rocket said "hurts" as his first word, not going to lie, it surprised me how much that hit me in the feels.

With High Evolutionary, isn't he an alien?

Not in the comics. But they can give him any background they want in the movies, I suppose.

I am odd. All the tearjerker stuff with Rocket and the part that made me tear up is when granpa Quill recognized Peter

That's true. It definitely seems like that reviewer hasn't watched anything that came before.

That hit me in the feels too. Grandpa's reaction is like when you go to see a relative in a nursing home. Just so real.

Huh. I really know nothing about that character I guess.

ETA: I had forgotten he usually wore a full body "space suit" until I just looked him up.

My guess is Star Lord returns for Kang Dynasty and/or Secret Wars

Yes- best fight scene I’ve scene in any MCU movie.
Loved how Groot was more like Swamp Thibg (I.e. plant elemental) in this one.
What I didn’t love: what they did with Warlock. Basically a detached character swimming in power ala Silver Surfer- and they made him comic relief

I would have shelled out at least that much for the Mario popcorn buckets, but they were out of them when I got there.

That's the only one I've ever seen that I'd have paid for.

In my opinion, this guy was head and shoulders better than Jonathan Majors turn as Kang.

I don’t think the actor was better, the character was better written. This is a movie that shouldn’t work but because Gunn is a mastermind not only does it work, it’s a really really good movie. It’s the example of good writing.

The whole back story was brutal….during that segment where they were laying around talking about names I was thinking “they better not do anything to his little animal friends”

Then the reuniting when rocket was dying…... damn.

frick you James Gunn.

It's true.

I came away more excited about the future of DC Comics movies than the future of the MCU after this movie.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Thought it was great.

Could have done without the gay pride uniforms.

Nothing spectacular, just Pete and the person he sees at the end eating breakfast together and chatting.

And also announcing that Starlord would return

In that scene the front page of the paper is Kevin Bacon talking about his alien abduction. I didn’t notice it but read about it later.
