Releases country wide tonight after a limited release last weekend.

The Marvel fatigue is real but I'm looking forward to this one. It may be the last one we go see in theater and it's the first since Endgame we've bought tickets for.

Based on some non-spoiler reviews I've seen it's pretty damn sad but wraps up nicely.

No spoilers for now but if you don't plan on seeing it and want to know what happens the plot synopsis is on Wikipedia.

Taking my daughter this evening. She’s now 14 so this is one of the last things we still do without it being inundated with teenaged girl angst.

I won't see it theaters most likely, but I will definitely watch it once it is streaming. I liked the first two well enough.

But outside of this one, I have little to no desire to see any other Marvel related movies, and it's been like that since Endgame for me. Outside of catching the newest Spiderman trilogy a few months back, I've been off of basically everything Marvel/comic related. And while I don't love GotG, I did like the first two. So I'll definitely watch this one eventually. I hope it's as good as it's been talked about being.

I feel you. We waited for No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder to stream on Disney+. We haven't watched Wakanda Forever and probably won't watch Quantumania when it releases in two weeks.

Everything just feels like an afterthought since Endgame.

This is me to a T, although I did really enjoy Moonknight and Hawkeye on D+. The only marvel movies I saw in theaters since Endgame was No way home and Thor:L&T. That was more to loyalty of the actors/characters than the actual MCU. GotGv3 will probably be the last marvel movie I watch and at a minimum see in theaters.

Going to watch it Sunday. Despite a bit of fatigue, I always thought that the Guardians franchise was some of the best due to Gunn's, ability to mix humor and raw human emotion.

Still haven't seen She-Hulk, Wakanda Forever, or Quantamania. I would love to see this movie in the theater, but it will probably be a few weeks before I can do that. Maybe my oldest and I can go this weekend, but I know my wife wants to watch so it doesn't seem right to go without her.

Wakanda Forever,

i did not hate Wakanda Forever. No where near as good as BP (and I think the first BP was good.) i found the overall plot and conflict dumb, but i didn't hate it.

if you haven't seen it, Shang Chi is good as well. glad i didn't see either in theater but i liked them well enough.

This dour, visually off-putting two-and-a-half-hour A.S.P.C.A. nightmare of a film may only be for completionist fans. NY Times

Unfortunately, the film from writer-director James Gunn—the series mastermind and one-time prodigal son who has since departed the established playing fields of Marvel to become a co-overseer of the DC comics movie franchise—is less successful in its calculated efforts to convince its audience to care. Instead, it creates worlds that it either destroys or simply grows bored with moments later and reduces what should be complicated relationships into reductively earnest proclamations. The Observer

If Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a mixtape, it's the one that your ex sends you after you break up with him, full of syrupy, sentimental tunes meant to reignite any last lingering sparks of feeling you may have once shared. It's "Seasons in the Sun" followed by "Alone Again (Naturally)" followed by "Everybody Hurts" followed by "The Christmas Shoes," and it serves only to remind you how right you were to dump the sappy chump when you did. NPR

I regret to inform you that the Guardians of the Galaxy as you know them are dead. What remains in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 are flickering remnants of fun times, but mostly maudlin bullshite. Mashable

If the NY Times and NPR don’t like it, chances are I will!

i really havent watched any marvel content since the last spiderman.

I've enjoyed a lot of it up to now but fatigue and no excitement for upcoming projects.

that being said GoTG has been one of if not my favorite part of the marvel universe and am looking forward to it. Will probably be my last marvel watch for quite some time.

I've seen everything outside of Wakanda Forever, She-Hulk (which I'll probably never watch), and Ant-Man 3.

IMO, the hate for this movie went overboard. I enjoyed it.

Hard to take critics seriously about anything that includes Christ Pratt.

It might be good. I haven't seen it. I may come around to watching it in a couple weeks, but if Jonathan Majors is fired as Kang due to his domestic issues what is the point?

Marvel's next big bad would be dead on arrival.

Taking the kids to see it after school today.

The fact critics hate it just means we will probably have a great time.
