Well for one:

the discussion would be "holy shite, shape shifters!" and all kinds of crazy conspiracy theories behind them.

Elaborate on that. What are your theories on what is happening? I don't really remember where it goes like you mentioned, so in that regard I am open to any sort of discussion as to what the frick could be going on.

I will be back on this soon. I got too into Psych and I can't help but watch it all the time... I am in the middle of season 4 and I watch at least 4 episodes a day so I'll be back on the rewatch soon.

I may try and fly thru S2E1,2,3 tonight so I can discuss a little tomorrow.

What the frick, dude? Stay focused on the task at hand..

(though it is hard for me to hate on someone watching Psych, a.k.a. one of the best shows of all time)

I'm not sure what we would have come up with. The redverse (that's the other one and we're blueverse right?) really wasn't fleshed out at all at this point. My fuzzy memory had thoughts of DRJ like you did, but he died, at least our version, is red DRJ behind it perhaps? If not it has to be Walternate.

And how much better a name is Feauxlivia than Bolivia?

quote:

Bolivia
The Olivia Dunham of the redverse, an agent of Alt-Fringe Division. Also called AltLivia. (The name “Bolivia” is derived from Fringe screenplays that label this character as “B-Olivia.”)

well, all 2 of us, discussed our homework for the week already. 4-6 will be discussed on Monday. I'll probably chime in Sunday night.

I'm sure I'll hit 4-6 tonight or tomorrow morning.

OP updated with new episodes.

So Charlie/shapeshifter Charlie is now completely dead. I remember that happening. So now we'll see how weird the out of place episode is in a few weeks. I won't really miss Charlie, as I never really liked his character (or the actor).

I don't remember if there was any significance to the shapeshifter and that symbol (when they were looking for the frozen heads). Does that pop back up later on?

Second episode (Dream Logic) was another filler one, but it was pretty cool with the dream sequences...but it completely tied itself up within the episode with the doc dying, and nothing in the overall arch ws really touched.

Sort of the same thing with the third one (Earthling). The beginning of Dream Logic, with the shadow figure and the husband turning into ash...that was legit freaky/scary. Great opening to the episode IMO.

I love how completely dark most of the hospitals are on this show. I mean, like you can legitimately barely see kind of dark. I've never in my life seen a hospital like that.

At the end, when they say the cosmonaut started breathing again and looked up at the sky...what was the significance there? I was a little confused on that part.

Also, I never knew that Anna Torv and the John Scott actor were actually married IRL for a year or two. #themoreyouknow

one note: I'm glad this wasn't the last string of episodes that charlie francis was in this show. So glad they brought him in the alternate universe. He was one of the best supporting actors of the show IMO.

I assumed the CIA guy meant they shot him back into space. Seems a bit expensive but the alternative was perhaps an unkillable being walking around for eternity all the while eating people.

I didn't miss him either. Didn't like the actor. Not his fault but just didn't like him after watching him on OZ.

Don't remember who symbol head turns out to be, but I assume we get to find out.

Druggie Chick knows something is rotten in Denmark with Peter. Walter looked like he wanted to tell him something.

I think this is about the 3rd hint that there is something going on with Peter.

The two monster of the week episodes were ok. Nothing great, nothing to hate.

The crumbling effect caused by Old Smokey was pretty cool.

Good to know that in the Fringe world, brain surgery is an outpatient procedure.

Put a W in the win column for Walter.

Why wasn't Charlie in season 4? When they start the new timeline, he just isn't working anymore.

Special Edition TigerMyth In-Game Rant

Episode 2X07

Love how Broyles seems positive they should have names for the kidnappers within the hour from facial recognition software. Did the government catalog every human in the US? Damn NSA!

Twilight Zone ripoff.

More hints that Walter has lost Peter before.

Oh. I think I took heat from the Fringe Fanatics when I hated this episode the first time I watched the show.

A kid murders police officers but because he was going through puberty, he gets a pass.

Kid should have been strapped into old sparky.

Also don't like the special forces being brought in for no other reason than to ramp up the danger to Peter. Then they don't even bring in the special forces. That whole scene feels like they had extra time and didn't know how to fill it.

The moral of this story is that if you are abandoned as a baby, it is ok to kill cops.

"Kid goes on a killing spree and all they are going to do is make him talk it out with a bunch of shrinks"

That one line makes me hate both the episode and the moronic writer who came up with it. If the episode had simply ended with them taking the kid away, I wouldn't hate it. It would still be a Zone ripoff but I wouldn't hate it.

Wait a minute!

Odd. I don't remember that ending. I wonder if I turned it off in a rage when Peter didn't get upset that a cop murdering kid got off with a slap on his wrist.

Kid didn't get off, looks like he will spend the rest of his life unconscious in cold storage.

Episode 2X08

Observers are always fun!

Rent a cop sure isn't a good shot.

Poor Olivia. No time for real life.

That kid is entirely too understanding. I think about 98% of kids that age would have a huge shite fit when told their amusement park plans were off. Hell, if that was Excited Disney Girl, she probably would have committed seppuku

The observers have super duper technology but Donald uses a dot matrix printer from the 80s?

The Fat Cleanup guy sure was agile and fast. Olivia was 5 feet behind him and he got away. Then he somehow climbed on top of the roof in just seconds.

I don't buy the ending. I think that based on what we know of the season 5 observers they still would have killed the chick.

Yay! Olivia gets real life time. Boo! The observers spoil it.

Episode 2X09
Mmmmmmm.....Calamari. Had some last night.

Another X-Files type episode. Good enough monster of the week.

So Peter takes off his coat and suddenly the sullen little punk kid is willing to talk.

Is this guy going to show up.

If they know the squids are being used for medicinal purposes, why did they let Walter go by himself to check the stores?

It doesn't take rocket appliances to see that there is a solid chance the bad guys operate one or all of the local medicinal stores.

Oh ok. Asterix follows Walter but she isn't very good at watching someone. She wouldn't be in the Observer Corps.

Why exactly is Peter suddenly interested in following Walter? Plenty of episodes before this one, have Walter wondering about on his own. Peter hasn't shown interest in following Walter before.

Seems extreme for poor Walter to insert a chip in his neck. How about put a chip in your shoes, belt, hat and keep a few to carry.
