But like I said earlier, the first is still my favorite.

Great movie. There's no way I could pick a favorite of the three

Really good movie but weakest of the three IMO. That though speaks more to the high regard I hold the first 2 in, rather than something wrong with this one.

Watch the three movies in order it will make sense.
In the first a big deal was made about symbols. Also the fact that Bruce and the Batman were two separate entities.
Rachel felt that the Batman was the dominant personality. The Dark Knight saw the two sides struggle for control. Could the Batman stop the Joker without losing Bruce Wayne. As we see in the finale Bruce has been set from the Batman.
Now John Blake is the Batman.

How do you get him being Batman? His first name is Robin.. Bruce is still alive..
If they don't do a Batman and Robin type movie, then it most likely will be Nightwing.
My only question of if they do a Batman and Robin movie is who will the villain be..
Two Face is dead
Can't do the Joker
Can't lead off with Scarecrow
Can't lead off with Bane
Riddler
Mr.Freeze
Penguin
Killer Croc(haven't done one of him yet)
They could always do Calendar Man

His first name was Robin. Who was the first Robin? Dick Grayson AS A BOY. When Dick Grayson was a full adult he became who? Batman Also Robin never fought on his own. John Blake is the Batman.
The Batman (third person) is the symbol. Gordon didn't put out a Robin signal. The people rose to the symbol of the Dark Knight. There is only one Dark Knight.
Rewatch Batman Begins it will make sense.

Bruce left everything in the Batcave to Robin John Blake. In comic mythos, Robin was never actually named Robin, plus they made this whole huge deal about A: Bruce couldn't be Batman forever, but Batman could always exist, because he is a symbol, and B: Because Batman was a symbol, anyone could do it, hence why Bruce kept giving Blake advice such as "Always wear a mask to protect those around you" etc.

Big-time Hollywood filmmaking at its most massively accomplished, this last installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy makes everything in the rival Marvel universe look thoroughly silly and childish

Naming JGL's character Robin was just a joke. He doesn't become Robin or Nightwing. Since Nolan kept all the names the same from the comics, Robin is Dick Grayson who later becomes Nightwing, Jason Todd takes over as Robin until he is killed, then Tim Drake becomes the next Robin. The iconic sidekick Robin never appears in the Nolan films.
John Blake doesn't become Robin, it was my understanding that he becomes the new Batman in the Nolan Batman universe.

They could not follow the storyline of Dick Grayson. Grayson was in the circus, his parents were killed by Two Face. Two Face is already dead.
They could go in the direction of Nightwing.
Something interesting I just found on wikipedia about Dick Grayson:
"After Wayne's "death", Grayson stated that he had no problem becoming Batman, but Wayne had left a prerecorded message telling him not to take up the mantle and to continue fighting crime as Nightwing with Robin at his side. Realizing that Gotham still needed the Dark Knight, Grayson retired his Nightwing mantle to become the new Batman. With Wayne's return and plans to launch Batman worldwide, Grayson remained the Batman of Gotham City."
So he very well could take up the mantle of Batman.
