I did my own marathon. Inception Begins TDK then the midnight showing of TDKR. Now rewatching Begins. Going to go see TDKR again in Matinee.
Holy shite. That is at least 15 hours of movie watching.

I don't think you guys need to worry about the future of these movies and whether Blake becomes new Batman(though if he did with no special training and no billion dollar fortune to finance him it probably would end badly for Blake)
With no Nolan, and no Bale I'm betting they reboot rather than continue on the same path.

And about 10 hours of sleep dispersed in there. Now you know why I am leaving whole words out of some posts and have to go back and edit.

Jacks the Nolanverse is complete. John Blake is the Batman.

Let's not worry about who is who because guess what? It's over and mostly everyone is happy. I enjoyed every bit and even had to stop myself from cheering when his back was broken.

Alright. I need time to digest everything.
Things I didn't like (since I liked most of it) and the last 4 are just minor MINOR things
1. Batman statue - kind of silly. Hope I don't feel that way on the second viewing
2. How the frick did Alfred just randomly dig up bane, his backstory and his affiliation with the league of shadows (this is an example of my #3) I always thought that ra's and the league of shadows were so clandestine that a butler (even batman's) couldn't just go on the computer and easily dig up this information. I get that bane was on the CIA's radar, but how could there be any existing evidence (online no less) of the prison he was born in or about his relationship with Ra's al ghul. There had to be a better way of establishing that batman is not a physical match for bane without Alfred blurting it all out in one sentence during a conversation with bruce
3. Expository dialogue - way too much of it in the first 30 minutes
4. Bruce going broke (essential to the plot line maybe but there could have been a better way) I can understand Wayne enterprises not being profitable but Bruce Wayne doesn't get his ride repo'd...C'MON
5. Selina is a quick learner with the batpod
6. Bane was much more menacing when he was shirtless or just wearing his vest (no homo)
7. Blake just knows wayne is batman? I need a better explanation
Extra: how the frick did batman get back to Gotham and how did bane Brian him there only to reappear in Gotham in what seemed like the next day
Still don't know how I feel about the whole robin thing or the whole war/Gotham under siege thing (I think I liked it)
Everything else was great
Hathaway nailed it
Hardy nailed it
Loved the whole dark knight returns/knightfall angles
Bane breaking the bat was just awesome stuff for some reason
Loved hardy

I get that it was the intent of Nolan to indicate that I was referring to the posters who were speculating as to the next Batman movie and even considering villans that could be in it.

This was a little troublesome for me as well. He could just eye him down and figure it out??

Nolanverse is dead but WB owns the rights. They throw a shitload of money at JGL and I could see some sort of continuation with Blake as the batman or a nightwing spin off
Minus all the major cast members and Nolan
FTR I would hate this and it is very unlikely

I thought they were going the Tim drake way where he explains how he deduced it through master detective work. That would have worked
At least for me

Blake is a detective that is what he does is figure stuff out. I mean that idiot accountant figured it out last time.
Posted on 7/20/12 at 4:28 am to Tim7105
Except he explained it as "I know the look of masking pain, ergo I knew you were batman"
Posted on 7/20/12 at 4:32 am to CGB Spender
Pretty sure that was a good detective being a good detective. Accuse of being the Batman and read his body language.

That "idiot" accountant had evidence. He didn't deduce it by eye-fricking Bruce Wayne when he was 13.

He knew before. He showed up to the house because he knew. I'm sure it was Tim drake worthy detective work but the audience needs more than the whole I knew when I saw your mask hiding the pain bit

I loved it! Didn't try to over think the whole thing and completely loved it!! Enough said
