No one is picking "The Last House on the Left" here? Come on... The rape scene was pretty disturbing

Yep. Common mistake. I did it myself. They are very similar actors in that they seem to take odd roles. I think you could interchange them in a lot of movies and both would do a good job with the role the other was cast for.

Audition - So fricked up.

Johnny got his gun - This movie gives me nightmares to this day and made me create a living will when I became an adult.

A Hole in My Heart is another one I haven't seen mentioned, pretty messed up, Swedish movie you can get on netflix. Salo and Irreversible probably take the cake for me though. Didn't think Visitor Q was as bad as a lot of these, maybe just got desensitized to Miike's stuff.

I was breastfeeding when I saw this movie. I ended up turning the movie off and staying up all night, crying on and off it disturbed me so bad. Took me til the next night to be able to sleep.

To expand on my earlier post of the three most fricked up movies I've seen...

Cannibal Holocaust - the turtle scene, the penis amputation scene

Martyrs - the skinning alive scene

Salo - pretty much the whole thing, but mostly the consumption of feces.

To be honest, if a film was released in a theater...it has no business on this list.

You all need to find a specialty video store...only there can you find truly disturbing flicks like 'The Sinful Dwarf', for instance.

I think Vanilla Sky is so weird it's borderline disturbing. Also the end of Million Dollar Baby bothered me so much I wanted to leave before it was over.
