One of the best movies I've seen in the last couple years. Disturbing though.

I just read the wikipedia story behind the movie and it really just pissed me off.

(An American Crime)

I know man....The movie will piss you off even more though. It's good though. James Franco(Pineapple Express, Spider-Man) is bangin' the old woman that did it .

Of course you'd pick Lynch!

Straw Dogs was fairly disturbing, particularly the rape scene.

In fact, most Peckinpah is fairly disturbing.

The scene in Pi where he puts the drill through his head was pretty nuts. Liked the movie though.

I'm late to the party, but IRREVERSIBLE wins, hands down. there is a 9 minute rape scene, and the most graphic death I can recall seeing. search "irreversible fire extenguisher scene" if you're interested. the director's goal was to make people ill or at least make them walk out of the theater (showed at Cannes, nearly everyone walked out). I remember reading that the director even had a low-frequency sound playing over the movie, just to add to the nauseous factor.

this movie wins, hands down. look it up.

Audition was jacked up. Oldboy always gets mentioned in these threads and in threads about really good movies in general. I guess I will have to see it even though I know nothing about it.

Ichi the Killer

I couldn't believe I actually watched this, only "WTF curiosity" kept me watching it. There is something seriously wrong with Miike.

I've seen about half the movies mentioned in this thread, an yeah most of them tripped me out. I hate watching disturbing stuff.

This is the most disturbing movie ever made. I could only watch about half of it.

Literally made me nauseous. Why in the hell would anyone make something like this?

From the things I've read, this Dafoe flick Antichrist is pretty damn bad as well.

But nothing competes with Salo.

yeah...

from Wiki

quote:

She suddenly attacks her husband, stabbing him and then disrobing and mounting him while accusing him of planning on leaving her. She then crushes his testicles with a block of wood. While he is unconscious, She masturbates him until he orgasms, ejaculating blood onto her shirt and face. She drills a hole through his leg, and bolts a heavy grind-stone through the wound.

quote:

She takes a pair of scissors and severs her clitoris, letting out a tortured scream.

He comes across a self-disembowelling fox who utters the words "Chaos reigns."
