I googled most disturbing movies ever and here is a top 10 I found. I have only seen A Clockwork Orange.

Faces of Death, the first one screwed with my head.

I watched "Kids" recently and found it pretty disturbing. Not in a gross out way but in a "is this really what our society is becoming?" way.

have you ever seen visitor q?
No. Is it good? I'll add it to my netflix queue if its worth the watch.
ETA: Kids sucks balls. It's just trying to shock you. Don't be. Just realize its a crappy movie and move on with your life.

Haven't seen it, but Human Centipede seems extremely disturbing.

All this talk about Lynch films and no one has mentioned Inland Empire yet.

quote:No doubt, it is disturbing but more for its subject matter than anything else. The scene where the dad and the son are on the couch and he's "explaining things" to him was one of the most uncomfortable feelings I have ever had watching a movie.
When I read the title for this thread, Happiness was exactly what I thought of. I saw it about 7 years ago and it really freaked me out. I have never recommended the movie to anyone. It takes the cake for the most disturbing movie ever!
I still recommend this movie to people that I know can handle it. It's a very good movie about things that don't normally get discussed. You definitely need a warning going into it. I didn't and it blew my mind when I saw it. I watched it with some friends and we all laughed throughout the movie. However, after we would laugh we would all look at each other like..."is it okay that we are laughing at this?" None of us could figure out whether we should laugh or cry. The interesting thing is that we all did laugh at certain parts, but after the movie was over, we all felt disgusted. I can only surmise that the movie had its intended effect.

OMG, I had to walk out of the theatre, it was so fricked up. I went in to see the rest of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Last Temptation of Christ
That came out in 1988 and showed at the Varsity when it was a theatre. There was massive protests and because of that I had to see it. It was seriously screwed up when Jesus came down off of the Cross and resumed his life as a mortal man. It was disturbing.

Rape scene in The Hills Have Eyes made me not want to watch horror movies again. It was right after I had my first child so seeing a pregnant girl get shot then (cant remember if it was her mom or sister) get raped was pretty uncomfortable.

There was a movie, I think it was Joe Francis' first film that was super fricked up. It was a movie called Banned from TV. Kinda like faces of death with all kinds of people getting burned to death, shotgun to head suicides, and executions.I remember some bitch got SMOKED by a high speed train on there and it'll be tattooed in my head forever. The train hit her and she just basically exploded.
