Momento is my least favorite Nolan film. It's good, but I don't get the love. Prestige and Inception are much better.

I think I saw maybe 5 minutes of Memento before turning it off and never looking back. I hated Inception with a passion. Dark Knight Returns was terrible. But I really enjoyed Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Prestige, and Interstellar, so it's all or nothing for his movies with me.

What you just described is something else I've noticed about the editing in these Nolan movies, and I'm not sure if I love it or if it is a bit too much. I think it works quite well but I want to see it again

The climax jumps between two different scenes as they (and we) discover things that resolve the plot. It cuts back and forth so quickly between the two scenes as well. It's not too fast, but it's frantic in interstellar since time (zing!) is an issue since it's a precious commodity. For some reason it just didn't work as well as it did with inception and TDKR.
It created excitement, but I just exhausted by it after a while and it was very predictable in this movie actually. You could see it setting up as soon as you realized he was the ghost.
In short: I wish Nolan didn't feel the need to blow our mind here while at the same time making it fast and suspenseful. The scenes right before this has plenty of that going on, so why did he do it at this juncture as well
Last thing I'll say is, I don't give movies Ive only seen one time this much thought, so this movie had me by the balls. It was immersive.

I still haven't seen more than a few minutes of Prestige (I know, I know ) or The Following but I'm pretty sure Mrs. Midnight is going to like it more than me.
Other than that (where he wrote and directed), I LOVED - Memento, Inception and Interstellar.
I didn't care for Batman and Joker was "okay" (with Ledger's performance the only reason for me to watch any of the three movies, to be quite honest). I didn't watch TDKR because if he was already 1/2 with me (barely) what are the odds a 3rd installment would break the tie?
So, didn't watch.
Probably going to go back and watch The Following and The Prestige. Will consider any future project of his based on his original work. Will probably pass on his future paycheck films.

I fell like the final moments of this movie were changed at the last second. It doesn't flow with the rest of the film and it seems so haphazardly put together while everything before that was very detailed

And, the acting was good, but overall? Meh. Was not compelled to go back and watch Sixth Sense - or anything else he ever did.

He's expressed little desire to sequelize any of his original work. I hope he keeps to that and I respect him highly for that. He's probably turned down G-d knows how much money for an Inception sequel, already.

That's respectable but I'm selfish and I want it! I always put Inception in when I'm going to bed and hope I have a bunch of dreams within a dream
Don't waste your time on the M.Night movies. I did like Unbreakable though. I liked Signs for 3/4 of it until the end. That's what you say about most of his movies. His "twists" are always dumb. I knew what was happening in the Sixth Sense 20 minutes in.
I'd love to ask Nolan what he thinks of an M.Night movie. He'd laugh

Well, that was their closure. He didn't need to stay there and watch her die. He sacrificed the relationship with his daughter to save mankind, and she forgave him for it. That's really all that needed to be said, and Cooper sitting on his arse for the rest of his life does nothing for him. He'd rather continue being a pioneer and find Brand. All they needed was closure, and staying by her death bed would make him loom with regret despite making the right decision.

I enjoyed the effort of the movie. I enjoyed Nolan's attempt to show us a space fantasy movie that was based on possible theories. I LOVED the score. Hans Zimmer is the best in the business by far in my opinion. I enjoyed the story. I thought the acting was great. (Yes, even Matt Damon) I thought the characters were believable in their motivations, and I did feel emotion at the proper moments.
I'm sure most would disagree with me, but I was really disappointed in the special effects. They just seemed empty and flat to me, like I was looking at a picture from a telescope. Everything just felt far away. I thought it had too many close up and side angle shots of the spaceship. It made it seem like they cut corners in the movie to save money. Before people attack me on that, consider Interstellar had a budget of 165 million. That's almost half of what huge budget movies have to work with these days. There are some other nitpicky things that I won't go into.
Overall I enjoyed it, especially after watching it a second time. I think as long as people lower their expectations a little bit, they'll enjoy it as well.

The main thing I didn't like about interstellar is really just a criticism of McConaughey; his speech is so under the breath that it's very difficult to understand what he's saying. And while my hearing is not great, I didn't have any trouble hearing what was being said by the other actors.
Overall, I consider it one of the best scifi movies to date but there was still plenty of room for improvement.

Just finished it. It is a physics nerds wet dream.
I really enjoyed it and I look forward to a second watch. There was a ton going on.

The Indian military drone (those solar cells are worth a fortune!)thing at the beginning was dumb as frick..
The idea that NASA was still operating clandestinely in McConneghys back yard..
"We don't teach our children that man landed on the moon, we like our kids to be more pragmatic", or whatever bullshite, of course leftard teachers are that stupid, so it is realistic.
There were a couple of other things, but those are the main sore thumbs.

Are there some silly things about it? Yea. I also agree it wrapped up a little too neatly. That said, this is now one of my favorite movies. I watched it a few nights ago and I loved it.
