Going to see it tonight. Saw the other thread was no spoilers and I didn't want a safe space.
I hope I enjoy it, reviews not looking so good.
I just want a popcorn flick.

I have always hated alien attack movies because the premise of our victory is so flawed. If they have the technology to get to us they will have the power to destroy us before we can lift a finger

That's why I liked the original predator so much. They could if they wanted, but they have a "warrior code".

predicting this will fail. yes its a fun popcorn flick, but many of us will have the "ill wait until its on HBO or Redbox" approach.

I was excited to see this. And I don't mind turning my brain off for a movie. But this one asked for too much. Turn off my brain anymore and I'd be dead.

There was just too much wrong with this movie that I don't even have the strength to list all of the flaws.
Even for a "popcorn flick", this movie did not hit the mark.
Ok, just a few problems I will list:
plotholes
Pacing
Acting - the guy who was will smith's son was cringeworthy
Chemistry between the characters seemed non-existent at times
I will probably not watch this again. Like EVER. And I love mindless action movies.

This movie looks so unrealistic. I don't know how you mouth-breathers can possibly think this is possible.

This movie will be terrible. Make sure you go see it in theaters so that the people responsible for abortions like this can continue to make movies. You know it's going to suck too, but you just can't stop yourself.

I didn't know it would suck. The first one was cool. Of course I forget this board knows in advance what movies will suck. Seeing the movie is a silly waste of time.

I loved the movie for what it was suppose to be. The effects were awesome and the odes to the original were okay.

Yeah, I liked some of the references and I liked Goldblum a lot. The storyline was ok too. It was mostly the terrible characters. The cliche caricatures. The ridiculous dialogue. The backstories that were uninteresting and undeveloped. I found myself waiting for the alien action to really ramp up and it seemed like it never did until the very end.

god awful.
glad I saw it to satisfy my curiosity, and it was entertaining...the same way a childrens action cartoon is entertaining

Thought Thors bro would ruin this, but he did a decent job. Ok movie not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Will Smith's son in the movie was a horrible actor. So bad I asked my wife in the middle of the movie how they couldn't find someone better. Anyone would have been better. Anyways went in with low expectations. Didn't think it was a bad movie.
