The sad thing is that with all the ridiculous plot lines I figured they were really going to have Brody be alive when I first saw him.

I'll keep watching because I have shite else to do, but what a way to turn hope into dismay.

Last episode was so solid, only to go all in on Carrie mental illness again. WTF. That and Brody have killed a good show. It's a show about fricking terrorism and the CIA, we don't need the protagonist to be batshit for it to be interesting.

To think that the CIA would continue to put someone with Carrie's issues in such prominent positions is pure stupidity too.

Of course, but I could live with it if it were just a characteristic of her role, not a theme of the show.

She's just awful at this point, and not in a Breaking Bad "I think they want us to hate them" way.

I really wish we could get an update on Brody's son. Each week I think "this is the week we find out what Chris has been up to!" only to be let down.

Seriously this show is beyond silly now.

The mental illness aspect is beyond old now. I really like most of the characters and would much rather see what they can do without her losing her mind every season. It derails everything interesting.

"You know the old saying: 'Use a gun, go to Cape Cod.'"

The whole situation reminds me of Cheers when Diane was trying to rehabilitate Andy Andy to Sam's disbelief. Remember how that ended?

This batshit crazy Carrie stuff is terrible.

A show about the CIA fighting terrorists with Saul, Quinn, Dar, Fara, Lockheart, Virgil, etc. could work though.

Someone tell AMC, they can do serious television. I hate it when fixable issues result in a bad show. Newsroom would be alright if they'd try and keep it a little less ideologically slanted, but no, Sorkin has to get his pie in the sky views in there somewhere.

I thought it was interesting how they presented both sides of the argument around the dinner table, completely unrealistic, but interesting.

I am tired of crazy carrie too. almost to the point where I am out on the show

Simmons and greenwald had a discussion last week on the BS Report about the show and simmons had a great idea. let this season play out and then completely re-boot the series in the US with a new cast. Have a few holdovers like quinn but start the series over from scratch. A focus on FBI counter terrorism in the US would be awesome. Sort of like Showtime's Sleeper Cell from a few years ago.

I was about to throw in the towel on this show before the last scene proved to be a hallucination

This. Season 2 was solid tho, to a lesser extent.

But Season 1 was so good...

Hell, I would've been pleased if they shot 14 episodes of spying on Brody and his family and just having the audience trying to figure out if he was a terrorist or not

I guess I'm the only one that has really enjoyed this season. I agree I was about to quit had the Brody stuff been real, but I'm digging this season. That ending was extremely creepy.

I've hated Lockhart up until that last episode. He is an absolute beast.

I've really enjoyed it too, but my hate for Carrie sometimes overshadows my enjoyment.
