She is much more deserving than Wynona Rider.

One thing that confuses me: Westworld is nominated for best Drama Series and has Evan Rachel Wood nominated for best actress in a drama. That said, why is Thandie Newton nominated for best actress in a limited series for the same show? You also have GoT has a "drama series" but Lena Headey nominated for supporting actress in a limited series. It seems odd...

Supporting categories for television are the same for limited and full series at the Golden Globes. In the Emmys they break it up to their own categories.

Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy:

“Transparent”

NOT a fricking comedy

the fact that this has been stealing awards from actual comedies because it has one laugh an episode is bull shite

Game of Thrones will have 83 episodes total. I don't see how that is in any way a limited series.

It says Headey is nominated for a Series, Limited Series or Made for TV Special. So they lump Supporting into all three.

I liked it, didn't love it. Hugh Laurie was the best part about it. I don't get the nomination for Olivia Coleman. Didn't buy her in her role at all, and her waddling around with the whole baby on board was just distracting.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy:

Jonah Hill – “War Dogs”

How the hell did Jonah get nominated for this? Completely terrible and forgettable. Someone got screwed out.

Also you are telling me that neither Hopkins nor Jeffrey Wright get a nod? Wow.

Odd that Stranger Things is considered a full series when it only has 8 episodes while People vs OJ Simpson is considered a limited series when it has 10 episodes.

The episode count doesn't matter. People v OJ is only 1 season total. Stranger things will have multiple seasons

As long as they are released in 2016 they qualify. And they send out screeners to the voters so they can watch before hand

Can you be nominated in the same category twice? I didn't watch the OJ show but I know for sure Sterling K Brown should be up for his role in This Is Us.

yes and this is on purpose. the theory is that the voters will see the December movies and it will be on their mind when they vote vs a nominated film that was out in the spring or summer.

makes sense

Jonah Hill in War Dogs? Seriously? That movie was complete crap and Hill sucked.

Also, does Streep just automatically get nominated for being Streep? I couldn't even finish that Florence Foster Jenkins garbage.

It's criminal that John Goodman didn't get nominated. I also think they nominated the wrong guy from Moonlight.

This! Very surprising. Especially considering WW is up for best TV series. No Jeffrey Wright, Anthony Hopkins, or Ed Harris?
