As for how Star Wars: The Force Awakens turned out, he would have approached it differently, as he contended he did when the franchise was in his hands. "They wanted to do a retro movie. I don't like that. Every movie, I worked very hard to make them different," Lucas said. "I made them completely different – different planets, different spaceships to make it new."

There was more creativity with the Force in the scene where Kylo is trying to get inside Rey's mind than there was in the entire Prequel Trilogy. Not to mention Lucas rips off Empire for all its worth when he made "Attack of the Clones". Talk about throwing stones from glass houses.

And more storm troopers, and more lightsabers, and more laser blasts, and more aliens, and more, more, more.

It is clear after the success of the first film that the emphasis would be more on selling toys than telling interesting stories. That has held with the franchise beginning with Return of the Jedi.

George should be more pissed about being raped by Disney. They have already recouped all the money they purchased your property for off 1 film release.

This factors in Merch sales as well as box office etc.

George Lucas is a bitter old man and upset that they didn't consult with him more on the story. Sorry, bud. You sold your rights.

For each version of A New Hope he worked very hard to make them different.

It's like voluntarily selling your kids into slavery for 4 billion dollars.

Lucas can take that opinion and shove it up his arse. He is just bitter that everyone seems to love Episode VII after he miserably failed with the prequels.

I'll be very sad for them from my private island. Maybe they will finally clean their room.

Why do you care if it's been posted already?

Just felt the need to be a prick on a Friday afternoon?

Here is the thing. While the prequels are bad, it is universally accepted to completely nit pick and tear apart the prequels. Whereas TFA, if one even simply points out a problem, the response is "Why are you NITPICKING STAR WARS? Do you not like fun??" And yes I agree TFA is better than the prequels but the hypocrisy is astounding.
