I hate the Robin Hood story in general because it encourages redistribution of wealth. I get that Robin Hood in this story was taking back the taxes that were unfairly assessed, but families were not just getting back the taxes they paid. They were getting more, which means some people did not get back the full amount they paid so others could have more. That is called communism. It is banned from my house.

Whistle stop One of the best disney songs ever

If anyone listens to Dr Dog, they definitely like Roger Miller's whistle stop as well

This. My favorite is: Not in Notingham

Also agree with Bedknobs and Broomsticks and The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under posted above as great lesser recognized Disney movies.

And the voices of Pat Buttram, Andy Devine, Phil Harris, not to mention Goober and Festus.

I get pissed every time Disney announces an old animated movie being released on Blu-ray and its not Robin Hood.

I'll probably buy two copies in case my main one gets messed up while Disney has it back in the vault.

F no. Disney locks their stuff in a vault. That is literally what they call it. Like every year they will release a Disney classic for a short while and say "Released from the Disney vault on DVD/Blu-ray for the first time..." This year it was Cinderella I think. Then after a bit they stop putting the given movie out.

I remember watching this as a kid. It always pissed me off when the king's guard/sheriff hit that dog's broken foot to get his taxes. Bitch..

The Walt Disney Animation Research Library issued a press release to publicly wish Happy Birthday to famed Disney animation director Ron Clements … and in the process, they revealed that plans are in the works for a new hand-drawn animated film. Clements previously worked on the Disney animated films The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Heracles, The Princess and the Frog and more … and is currently working on an as-yet unnamed new hand-drawn animated feature!

Now, before we get too excited … we are probably 3 or 4 years away from the release of this film. It takes a long time to create a hand-drawn animated film.

The last such film produced by Disney was The Princess and the Frog (which I loved but others did not).
