I'm not going back through all of these, but has anyone mentioned Rocky Horror? It is not a good movie, but had such a following I thought someone would mention it.

Nope not yet

Only people who seek that movie out see it, or old people. Personally, I love it, but understand it's absence. None of them have made lists 1936, 1974, or 2006.

Freauxzen, this was a really good idea, i am eagerly anticipating the final 100.

Also, if you still need writers, i would be happy to do that, however, i think many on my list were only mentioned by me, so they probably won't make it.

My favorite movie, didn't put it on the list figuring it would just get lost in the crowd, go figure.

There are a few that are in consideration for the top 10. With the IMDB formula, everything is up for grabs, I'll add you to the list.

Somewhere around 320 unique movies and now with the formula a lot of movement. But at the same time I think everyone will like it actually. I'm getting a better response than I thought too, somewhere around 44 ballots or so. I'm hoping it can get a permanent sticky at the top once the list comes out. Can be used as a reference for anyone looking for a good movie, and as a general comparison for all of those other lists that come out that suck.

Its hard to stick with only 20 and to rank them. I could easily do a top 100 for myself.

True. I keep seeing other people's lists, and I'm like "How can I forget that," but for me it's more about "best" than favorite anyway. I've found myself doing my own list on the side.

Nightly Update:

Less additions today, but that doesn't mean it's over. Up to 365 different movies after 52 ballots.

3 multiple vote movies away from having every movie have to have at least 3 votes to get in.

Top 15 has seen a lot of change. Although the top movie remained again, many movies that have been in the Top 15 have plummeted, disappearing much like a lost bunny.

At the same time, a couple of movies way outside of the Top 15 have crept in. One of them crashed through a wall and the other, sauntered slowly for the past two days. As they sometimes say "One bastard goes in, another comes out."

Again the results are pretty solid.

Writers: I have 9 writers so far for the top 15 write ups, most of us have to do double duty right now, but I believe I was able to make everyone happy.

Could you all leave your emails so I can start sending things out? I see the Top 10 being pretty consistent now, they will merely be re-ordered, so I can start asking and assigning movies. And 11-20 will probably stay relatively consistent as well, barring some weird resurgence of movies. So planning for those 20 movies should be sufficient.

If anyone else wants in, let me know, and leave your email as well.

Until tomorrow, You stay classy Movie Board.

I'd be willing to write up something even though I'm not a good writer. But this being a TD forum, I should be OK.

I need to add The Papillon to my list. I can't believe I left off a Steve McQueen movie.
