I don't recall them every crossing paths in Rebels, but I could be wrong. If not, I assume the first time he heard of her was when Baylan and the Nightsister he was with informed Thrawn of how they found him/the story of their journey. Ahsoka would've come up but Thrawn would've dismissed her after he was incorrectly told she was dead. Now that she's alive, Thrawn wants to know everything about her background as his character's way.
Enjoyed the episode all though some changes of pace were a little odd.. Thrawn's badass introduction with his uber loyal troopers followed closely by Sabine finally fighting like a mando...followed by a weird, kind of goofy scene with her horse-wolf following her around before they run into a bunch of sentient hermit crabs.
Good episode though. I liked the reveal that Baylan seems to be looking for something more powerful than anything else we've seen so far or anything we assumed he was looking for.

Good episode. I feel like the last two episodes will have to be action packed, but of course we will probably get left on some sort of cliff hangar in the finale.

Alliances was such a good book. I could have done without all the Padme parts though.
Just finished tonight’s episode, and it was great. Besides the space turtles, everything else was fantastic.
Glad to see the Thrawn voice actor can actually act. So awesome to see Ezra too. I can’t wait for these last two episodes.

My hunch is Shin turns on Baylen
The sequel trilogy just fricked everything, we could’ve had Thrawn escaping and starting an entire war again as the sequels

I think she does too. She’ll reject whatever vision Baylan is having, kills him or betrays him and Thrawn kills him. Then Thrawn betrays her and the Nightsisters kill her due to her being Jedi adjacent.
