My favorite thing about this is that the stuff on BBall reference super accessible. You hover over it and it tells you about the different inputs and things like that.

If you really want to go crazy with it is all the stuff the NBA is pumping out now. They started adding "hustle stats" and some of the stuff mentioned is like hockey assists, assists from screens, etc.

You also haven't seen me dismiss all but the ones that just favor the one guy like you're doing.

Still ignoring that whole defense thing too.

The stuff on NBA.com's website is just amazing, alomst too overwhelming.

It's like everything you see on the court, there's a stat for that on that site. Pure awesomeness

You didn't watch many spurs games, did you? Most of his baskets were from creating his own shot. Averaged 21 a game.

I have watched enough to know he's not a ball handler/passer and ultimately that's the key to being a great perimeter player. Durant is an ok ball handler but has the same issue because he's not a passer, he can create his own offense but can't create offense for others, which is why their ceiling is higher when Westbrook takes the lead

he's b2b DPOY, he's damn good defensively.

he's still below-average for a ball handler and his court awareness needs to improve, but he's a good shooter and will continue to improve (44.5% of his shots from 16+ ft hitting around 42% from that range). he's just not as good offensively as other top 5 guys, but he's only 24, he's about to ender his prime. he has time

better than kawhi?
Steph - yes, he's MVP
LeBron - yes, more complete player still
KD - yes, way better offensive player and he's a good defender
Westbrook - yes, arguably the best player in the league if he stops shooting 3's
CP3 - yes, always been vastly underrated by many
Lillard - no, good shooter/combo guard but poor defender
Wall - good PG, but not an elite defender or shooter
AD - arguable, AD is better offensively but he's not as good as a defender...not even close.
Harden - absolutely no defense, no
Melo - hahhaahah maybe 6-7 years ago Melo
Drummond - one dimensional player, has no offensive game, great defender, but has to sit out the 4th quarter because he can't even hit a FT
Cousins - purely offensive machine, but has a lot of turnovers and is poor defensively
PG - not as good of an offensive player as you think, he's really inefficient. great defender, but Kawhi is better in both
Towns - one year and a damn good year, he can grow into arguably the best player in the league...but his rookie season isn't as good as how kawhi's currently playing
Lowry - no. DeRozan is a no as well.
Thompson - better shooter, good defender, but he's got length and can't rebound, handles the ball but low ast%.
Wade - no. stop
Green - he's right below kawhi. he's a good player and fits into the system really well, but he's not as efficient without curry.

Kawhi is a great defender and you used that excuse to say he is better than players who are offensively way better than him. Kawhi cant carry a team offensively and thats the reason they are sitting at home right now. Defense is a team game but when it comes down the stretch, you need someone that can score the ball and Kawhi is not that someone (talking wing players here). Until he becomes that, Kawhi will never be a top 10 player in my book.
