Peterson

Gonzalez, gates, and grok say hello to graham. True graham is a beast but you can't discount these.

Peyton has Bree's, Brady, Rodgers, and luck

Peterson has Charles, gore, lynch, foster, forte, and rice.

Lulz. They've played 5 games.

and like a healthy gronk, he's unstoppable thus far. They try to take jimmy out of the game, but they can't.

Before you assume, but you probably already did, I actually without doubt said gronk > jimmy for the past couple of years because I thought the injuries he sustained were just fluke injuries. Classmates/homers, etc. all said I was nuts and jimmy was better, but jimmy just isn't the complete TE. He's a better receiver than he is at blocking whereas gronk is great at both.

Then this offseason comes and he's breaking that forearm, getting surgery on it left and right, rebreaks it, and then a back procedure its a line of issues coming. He might make a full recovery and play like he's the #1 TE, but if we went off potential and "ignoring" injuries, there would be a ton of players that would be #1 at their relative positions.

1. Aren't all the single season records basically held by Manning's peers at the moment? I think Manning slows down a little also.

2. You can say Brees is on pace to break career records.

I would say it is Graham if you exclude Gronk from the conversation sense he hasn't played this season.

Peterson if you assume Gronk will be 100% the way he was prior to all his health issues.

I will give you that, but I guess I don't see what's stopping him from coming back 100%. His ankle injury would have happened to any player involved in that tackle. His forearm injury was a fluke, and it was crazy that it broke in multiple places and that is concerning. The back is most concerning of all, but then again, you can use that same argument against Manning. One good hit, and that neck injury could resurface.

Threads like this are why I've been staying away from the Saints Board. They probably will win Sunday, as the Patriots are still working in all these new faces into the offense, but holy shite they just put a Saint's player's name up there and jerk off as hard as they can.

Since we are playing make believe, a healthy Megatron has to be considered as well.

At some point we almost have to start comparing Graham to WRs instead of TEs, cuz the bro don't block

I agree

If the Lions start playing Megatron next to the tackles for some plays, would he be a TE?

AP. The other two have folks at their position who I would not only consider, but may prefer.

Not AP. Not close.

Followed by Graham. Then Manning.

Peterson, but not just because he is great.

Because the NFL is designed for QB to succeed. I'm a Cpwboys fan and I like Romo (flame away). But he outplayed Manning last weekend.

Damn near every offense is centered around a QB. Only one has had success around the RB and that was the Vikings last year.

Only other offense that relies solely on RB has been Jags... And we know what's happening there.

I like Graham, impressive SOB. But Witten and Gonzalez have played elite football for years and years.

Graham is still learning and could potentially own TE records for a long time. Again not trying to diminish him.

Has everyone just forgotten about tony Gonzales. He has been doing what Gronk and Graham is doing for the past 15 years.

Gonzalez really revolutionized the tight end position. If he came into the NFL 5 years ago, Graham would be looking up to Tony G's records\.

As for the question, are we talking strictly talent or strictly performance?

If the former, then Peterson without a doubt (followed by Manning then Graham). If the latter then Manning (followed by Peterson then Graham).
