Joe Flacco has 4 TD to 8 INT and averaging like 5 yards a pass. Do you honestly believe that Kaep couldn't do better?
do you honestly think the Ravens would sign Kap to overtake their franchise QB who is making like $20M/year?
bruh

The Flacco comparison should be interesting in court.
“Mr Kaepernick, were you in negotiations with Baltimore to sign? What happened? Oh, your girlfriend compared the owner and Ray Lewis to a slave owner and a house slave? Case dismissed.”

But the pro-Castro comments alone let at least 2-3 teams off the hook of not picking him up based on the Cuban populations in their cities alone.
yeah in terms of legit starting opportunities, Miami may be the #1...but there is no way they'd sign him after that
this case is going to boil down to teams who may have signed him to be their backup, and if a few come out and say his contract demands were too high, that will be that. there were a few teams who had interest in that, and it's very possible any salary demand over the min would be the nail in the coffin for his case

I think Kaep opting out is going to bite him in the arse.
In theory, he should be able to opt out with no fear of being blackballed(again, I don't think he'll win the case, but you see what I mean there)

If Kaep sitting is the sole reason he doesn't have a job, how come all these other players sitting aren't getting cut?
Because its easier for a team to just not sign a free agent than it is to cut a player under contract. Cutting a player under contract would cause the team to owe dead money on the contract, potential salary cap implications, and PR backlash from activists. Kaep opted out of his contract on his own. He could've opted in for the final year then force the 49ers to decide whether to keep or cut him.

This was during a snow storm. Assuming you didn't watch the game at all. It was a horrible day for the passing game on both sides. Jordan Howard had 3 TDs that day. Not necessarily saying his day was great or anything, but I hate it when people pull other people's numbers out their arse with no context. You didn't watch the game, therefore you can't speak on it, let alone use it for your stance.

The 17th all time leader in passer rating (higher than Carr, Stafford, and Luck) who the last time he played put up a 4:1 TD to INT ratio should be employed all things considered. If Kap had never sat he would have a job. Now I think it should be the owners decision but to act like this won't be a battle on the NFLs part is stupid. All it's gonna take is one judge who wants to be in on one of the biggest sports rulings ever and this shite is gonna blow up
This has got to be one of the most idiotic Devil's Advocate arguments presented in the history of sports: not only does he have to prove collusion by a preponderance of the evidence standard but since it's an arbitration hearing and not actual court, no subpoena power exists so gaining discovery to help the case is basically impossible. It's basically impossible for him to win this and, quite frankly, likely ensures he'll never play in the NFL again.

Kaepernick is a douche
He was blackballed though. The nfl wouldn’t put a stop to it but this was meant to be an under not so subtle gesture of good will to the fans along with loosening up on celebrations and commercials
They thought everyone would Wear themselves out and it would all go away
Then the god emperor god emperored

He is the one that opted out. His dumbass fault. End of story.
I'm guessing his agent told him to opt out and I'm guessing his agent told him to sue the NFL. I'm also guessing that his agent is really good at covering his own arse and deflecting attention away from his frick ups as an agent.

That's not enough. ESPN LINK
quote:
Here's the relevant wording of the CBA's "burden of proof" for collusion:
"The failure by a club or clubs to negotiate, to submit offer sheets, or to sign contracts with restricted free agents or transition players, or to negotiate, make offers, or sign contracts for the playing services of such players or unrestricted free agents, shall not, by itself or in combination only with evidence about the playing skills of the player(s) not receiving any such offer or contract, satisfy the burden of proof set forth …"
The CBA specifically rules out saying, "X player is better than the others" as a method of proving collusion.
quote:
: not only does he have to prove collusion by a preponderance of the evidence standard
PFT LINK
quote:
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Kaepernick wants to trigger termination of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Article 69, Section 2 of the CBA allows for the agreement to be terminated prematurely in the event of proof of collusion. Under Article 17, Section 16(c) of the CBA, termination can arise from only one incident of collusion involving only one player if there is clear and convincing evidence of a violation.
So to invalidate the CBA, which is supposedly one of Kaepernick's goals, he'll need to meet the intermediate clear and convincing standard.

If Kaep wins his case. What will happen to all the NFL owners who are supporting the kneel downs in the league. It is a no win situation for NFL if he wins. Win win for people who hates NFL dor disrespect towars anthem
