I think Vegas is putting too much stock in the super bowl losers vs. the week 1 spread. Last team to cover the spread after losing the super bowl? Brady and the Patriots.

I like the way your thinking. I'm going to have to put some down on the Pats too. Not as heavy as I've went on the Saints pick, but I'll definitely have a unit on the Pats.

So money sports just tweeted me back saying

I'm still taking Brady and the Pats.

Saints line down to (-7). If it drops to -6.5 or -6, I'm goin all in.

yeah but at +110. The standard -110 is a (-7) spread. I thought the same thing at first as well.

And the chances of it dropping to anything below 7 would seem pretty slim, but you never know with the way people are buying into all the bs that the saints will be crappy bc of the offseason.

Its at 7.5 now with Bovada. I think im might just have to jump on it big if it moves to 7.....Brees and the O will be out to make a statement that the offense can roll without payton. The whole team will be out to make a statement just due to all the BS. Not to mention sproles will be back in the lineup and a few key defensive players facing a rookie qb....Its going to get very ugly quickly IMO

Saints -8.5 is a gift.

I should have known I could have played both sides of this bet. We opened at -11

wow down to 7.5 on oddsmaker

I should have waited on this game

wonder why it's moving fast the other direction because I like the saints....lofton is coming back and greer is probable...the defense will be better than people think...

Same, I took it at -8.5. I thought for sure, people would jump on it early and it would push towards double digits.

public perception is that our defense is fricked without vilma, and our offense is lost without payton

They are seriously buying into it. BIG TIME.

Otherwise, why would you pick in favor of a rookie QB on a team that struggles offensively, on the road, AT THE SUPERDOME, against a team that is PISSED and looking for someone's p*ssy to ravage?

I dunno, Saints seem like an easy pick to me.

I'm staying away. Giants are a good team, but they were 9-7 last year in the regular season. And I'm not sure what to think of Jerruh's boys.
